We needed a rest day and the Beach Club Resort has the best pool there is! I've never seen a pool like this. It has a sandy bottom. The shallow end even has a sandy beach and sandbar for the kids to play on with buckets and shovels. There's a giant spiral staircase that leads to the top of a ship's mast which is where the entrance to the water slide is (which also has two waterfalls). Even Joseph went down the giant waterslide, much to my dismay...that was all Joe's doing. But he loved it and went over and over again. The pool also had a whirlpool attached to it and a lazy river. It was huge and nonstop fun! We still had a jam-packed day but at a slower pace. Evelyn actually said her favorite part of Disney World was the pool. We will be back for sure!
We started with a character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. We were able to meet with Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, Prince Eric, and Ariel
Lorelai asked Flynn Ryder what was in his satchel. I don't think she was expecting him to pull out Rapunzel's crown! He even let her try it on!! She felt so special.
I think Flynn Ryder was our favorite. He was incredibly funny. He even gave Auntie his famous "smolder".
Joseph, again, was all about the princesses. He flung himself into his hug with Ariel. He just loves the ladies!
Time for the pool and all my kiddos love the water!
Look who came to hang out with us! The characters were so chill and just hung out us. It felt like such a personal experience.
I asked Goofy, "Who has the bigger muscles?"
After a day at the pool we had dinner at Artist Point at the Fort Wilderness Lodge. This Resort Hotel was BREATHTAKING!
Scarlet was dressed up special for dinner because she'd be meeting Snow White!
We asked Lorelai to take a picture of just the two of us...We always seem to miss out on "just us" pictures...
...and this is why... Too many kids running into the photo
We put on our "grumpy" faces for pictures with this sour-puss
Lorelai tried to be silly with Dopey
This waiter was amazing. Evelyn ordered steak and he offered to cut it up for her. I told him he didn't need to do that. He said, "Mom, with all these kids, when was the last time you enjoyed your meal before it was cold?" Touché! Evelyn even started making it into a game and she tried to eat faster than he could cut the meat up. It's those little Disney touches!
Lorelai felt like a big girl with her "Transformation Potion" lemonade
The Queen was a little intense. She was not very amused when I mentioned that my Dermatologist husband could take care of those laugh lines for her.
Waiting for the cab ride back, playing nicely together. It's a Disney miracle!
