Ok, after a restful day of good food and pool time, we are back at the parks. Day 5 we spent at Epcot and we were very excited to experience the Food and Wine Festival that was going on in the World Showcase.
Time to wake up, Joseph. We have a lot to do and so much MAGIC to see!
On our way to Epcot. It's amazing that the entrance to Epcot is a five minute walk from our hotel's back door. AMAZING day ahead!
We had a princess breakfast scheduled before the park opened. This got us into the park before it was open to the public and it's a great way to start the day. Upon entering Akershus we were greeted by Belle!
A breakfast visit from Aurora
Cinderella is giving Joseph some breakfast love...and he is eating it up!
Another visit with Ariel
Joseph needed to get his hugs in with Snow White
Epcot opened at 9am and with a breakfast reservation for 8am, we were ready and in line to meet Anna and Elsa right as they opened. We weren't able to see them last year because of long lines so it was important that we hit this one. Rebecca and I are in coordinating Frozen sister shirts
Elsa and Anna are Scarlet's favorite but she didn't want to pose for a picture.
Joseph and Scarlet were both great sports and were so patient as the big kids rode the taller rides
Daddy, Auntie, Lorelai and Evelyn stayed in the park a little longer than the two little ones and myself. They explored some Food and Wine Festival snacks while I took these two back for a rest. I think Scarlet needed it.
Enjoying a frozen treat!
Exploring World Showcase and the Japan Pavilion
...and now we're in Italy. The countries are so much fun to explore
In the evening we walked by the Germany Pavilion and there was Snow White by her wishing well, greeting guests. Even though we met her twice already this trip, we lined up again!
Joseph....once again.....loves those princesses. I think he's going to be a real ladies man!
We needed a rest day and the Beach Club Resort has the best pool there is! I've never seen a pool like this. It has a sandy bottom. The shallow end even has a sandy beach and sandbar for the kids to play on with buckets and shovels. There's a giant spiral staircase that leads to the top of a ship's mast which is where the entrance to the water slide is (which also has two waterfalls). Even Joseph went down the giant waterslide, much to my dismay...that was all Joe's doing. But he loved it and went over and over again. The pool also had a whirlpool attached to it and a lazy river. It was huge and nonstop fun! We still had a jam-packed day but at a slower pace. Evelyn actually said her favorite part of Disney World was the pool. We will be back for sure!
We started with a character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. We were able to meet with Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, Prince Eric, and Ariel
Lorelai asked Flynn Ryder what was in his satchel. I don't think she was expecting him to pull out Rapunzel's crown! He even let her try it on!! She felt so special.
I think Flynn Ryder was our favorite. He was incredibly funny. He even gave Auntie his famous "smolder".
Joseph, again, was all about the princesses. He flung himself into his hug with Ariel. He just loves the ladies!
Time for the pool and all my kiddos love the water!
Look who came to hang out with us! The characters were so chill and just hung out us. It felt like such a personal experience.
I asked Goofy, "Who has the bigger muscles?"
After a day at the pool we had dinner at Artist Point at the Fort Wilderness Lodge. This Resort Hotel was BREATHTAKING!
Scarlet was dressed up special for dinner because she'd be meeting Snow White!
We asked Lorelai to take a picture of just the two of us...We always seem to miss out on "just us" pictures...
...and this is why... Too many kids running into the photo
We put on our "grumpy" faces for pictures with this sour-puss
