I am so happy to have this new yard.  We spend so much time out there, even with the near 100 degree heat!  We are loving it.  This move was definitely worth the money, time, and hassle.

We just moved and one of the best parts is a backyard we can use!!  Our last backyard sloped downward in a steep way and it was difficult for Lorelai to play on.  Also, it did not have nice grass.  Our new house has a nice, flat, safe backyard.  Lorelai loves to play outside!

Renovations

As I mentioned in a previous post, we are doing some renovations to the new house.  The house is beautiful but the previous owner had some questionable taste.  We are trying to some of the renovating ourselves to save on money.  I know some of you have already seen this picture, but I think it's adorable and I had to post it.

My apologies!

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. We have just been so incredibly busy!  For those of you who haven't heard, we are in the process of moving. We decided to buy a house and get out of our rental. We were just unhappy with the location and the rental management company. Anyways, we think we got a good deal on our new house and it's in a nice, safe gated community. We are doing some small renovations to the new house to increase it's value. We were hoping to have them done before we moved in but no such luck. Between working night shift, renovations, moving, chasing after Lorelai, being 8 months pregnant, and trying to prepare for a new baby.... I've been beyond exhausted. New posts will be coming soon, I promise!!  Before and after pictures of the house will also be coming soon.

Lorelai is learning...

Vacation... THE BEACH!

Lorelai really liked the beach.  The sand took some getting used to.  She didn't like to walk on it.  I think it was because she felt unstable.  Her favorite part was getting in her tube and having Daddy take her in the water to ride the waves.  The waves would crash into her face and she'd just laugh and laugh.  She did not mind one bit.

She didn't like the sand on her hands.  We had to give her a pail of water to rinse her hands in while she played.  We all took turns filling up her pail.

She would walk in the sand as long as you were holding her hand.  But if you let go, she would freeze in place and would talk and talk, as if to say, "come get me!"  She wouldn't walk in the sand on her own.
