Lorelai really liked the beach. The sand took some getting used to. She didn't like to walk on it. I think it was because she felt unstable. Her favorite part was getting in her tube and having Daddy take her in the water to ride the waves. The waves would crash into her face and she'd just laugh and laugh. She did not mind one bit.

| She didn't like the sand on her hands. We had to give her a pail of water to rinse her hands in while she played. We all took turns filling up her pail. |

| She would walk in the sand as long as you were holding her hand. But if you let go, she would freeze in place and would talk and talk, as if to say, "come get me!" She wouldn't walk in the sand on her own. |
