Pumpkins

September through December is always our busiest time.  Add in homeschool, and this Momma is tired out.  We are still trying to participate in all of our traditions.  We carve pumpkins every year, but this year was different.  ALL of the kids carved their own!  Usually the younger ones pick out a pattern and I carve it out for them.  I wanted to help Joseph this year, but he insisted on carving his own.  I was worried he wasn't ready and I told him so.  He said to me, "Mom, sometimes parents think kids can't do something, but we CAN!"  He was right.  He did a wonderful job carving his very first pumpkin.  Scarlet too!
