Ok, I need my head examined... Thanksgiving, followed by a week at Disney World and then trying to fit in TWO birthday parties before Christmas?!! This Mom is TIRED. But I did it. We celebrated Scarlet's birthday party late on December 8th, and Lorelai's was the following Saturday, December 15th.
For Scarlet we rented out the indoor playground at the Church. It's an amazing playground with giant slides, tons of stuff to climb on and a separate party room to have pizza and cake. More kids came than I expected so I was glad I didn't have the party at my house. About 20 kids were there and their parents too!!!
The singing started...all eyes on Scarlet...and she FROZE! She wouldn't blow out the candles until Daddy helped her. She is just so shy!
With Daddy's help, the smile came out
Lorelai's party was held at the new movie theater in town. They have wonderful recliners to sit in and a party room to enjoy cake afterwards. We saw Wreck-it Ralph 2. Not many pictures were taken because we were at the theater but I did get one of her blowing out the candles. Popcorn, candy, and CAKE. These kids are sugared out!
Our last day at Disney of course we headed back to Magic Kingdom followed by the evening at Epcot. All the kids got to pick one ride that they wanted to go on, on their last day. Lorelai chose Space Mountain, Evelyn picked Big Thunder Mountain (obviously), and Scarlet wanted to drive the cars of Tomorrowland Speedway. We hit them all! Yesterday went so well with no midday break we decided to try again. Big mistake! The kids did the best they could but we pushed them hard so we could fit in every last bit of fun. It was still a great ending to a very long week. I think the kids will be recovering for days!
Having some fun with the ride photo on Space Mountain
Scarlet is all about the accessories and she had to check out Cinderella's shoes.
Quick lunch inside the Beast's Castle "Be Our Guest Restaurant"
These next two videos are my favorite from the entire trip. She is the perfect picture of pure JOY!
Waiting to board the monorail to head off to Epcot. No rest for us today! Still all smiles at this point
Ok, this one may not be able to make it....
Dinner at Garden Grill in Epcot with Mickey and friends
Someone is spying on Daddy
This restaurant revolves as you eat and we get to see all different landscapes. Lorelai is showing Mickey all the sights
Scarlet with her new Baby Sven...and also cuddling Evelyn's Baby Simba
The girls fell asleep much earlier than usual in the stroller so we decided to enjoy the foods of Epcot and we powered through the day with no midday break! Lorelai really toughed it out and did great!
After strolling around Epcot it was off to Animal Kingdom for dinner with Mickey and his pals.
I'm not sure if it was just that Scarlet was tired but she was nervous to meet Daisy. Then Daisy started showing off her jewelry and Scarlet was immediately comfortable
Mickey is NOT happy with Joe. Earlier in the day we were talking about this dinner and who we would meet etc, and Joe mentioned "you know, I always thought Daisy was hotter than Minnie Mouse". Well our almost 7 year old with the very big ears heard and ratted Daddy out to Mickey. He stomped his feet and wagged his finger at Joe. Poor Daddy... but the girls thought it was hilarious
