Day three and we are headed to Hollywood Studios for the morning. This is our first time at this park. We've never been on past trips but from my research it seems that they have a lot of Star Wars stuff there...and if you know Lorelai, Star Wars can't be missed. She is Star Wars obsessed!
This will probably be my longest post ever...there is just so much to share!
Total cuteness while waiting for the bus
We started the morning at Hollywood and Vine restaurant for breakfast before the park even opened. This is a character breakfast full of Disney Junior characters. My sole reason for picking this reservation is that we'd be in the park before it opens to the public. This was important to me because I wanted to sign Lorelai up for Jedi Training Academy and they don't do reservations. You have to go in person the morning of and I've heard it's pretty cut throat. This morning reservation took care of this issue. We got in early, signed her up for the Jedi training, and then went to breakfast. Easy!
The Disney Junior characters aren't my favorite but the girls like the cartoon shows these guys are from. Here they're meeting Jake from the Neverland Pirates.
Princess Sophia from the cartoon, Sophia the first
The girls really do enjoy Doc Mcstuffins
Ok, so dinner is over and we headed to the Star Wars Launch Bay... and there was Kylo Ren. So intimidating!! Lorelai loves the bad guys but she was a little afraid of him. He kept telling her to join the dark side...it's the only way.
After this picture, Kylo Ren chased Lorelai out of the room. She ran out and said he "wasn't nice".
On to the lighter side, we met with Chewbaca. He....is....so....tall!!
Not really the hugging type
In the Launch Bay there were some Jawas walking around. They're available for trade if you have anything. I knew this ahead of time and I heard they like shiny things so Joe and the girls made them something ahead of time. We collected soda can tabs and laced them on a string to make a bracelet. Now, if the Jawa likes your trade you can get a droid piece. If they don't they won't trade or might give you something meaningless in return. They were very friendly and then tried to trade for Baby Scarlet!
She was proud of her droid piece. Good trade!
Evelyn on a Star Wars speeder bike
Getting ready for Jedi Training Academy. This is a training program for 4-12 year olds. Evelyn is too little but maybe next time.
Lorelai is doing her training...will she prevail? They teach the kids how to fight using the force and the light sabers
Darth Vader is here...
She shows no fear as she fights the dark side!
I think she's saying, "Let me at him!"
USE THE FORCE, LORELAI!
Watch Lorelai in this last video...she is scared of Kylo Ren!
While Lorelai rode the Star Tours ride (must be 40 inches tall), I took Evelyn and Scarlet to meet Chip and Dale
Long Day...and it's only half done!!! Back to the resort for a much needed nap!
