Evelyn's 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated Evelyn's birthday a little early.  With our move coming up and Joe still studying like a madman, it just seemed easier.  Those who have been around Evelyn lately know that she's a crazy climber.  She has no fear, and loves to run and climb on furniture. I'm convinced she's part mountain goat!  We planned her party at the Iguana Jump at the San Antonio Aquarium.  I've made a post about this place before so it may sound familiar.  It's a giant room filled with all different kinds of jump houses.  Some are slides, some are obstacle courses, and some are ball pits.  Evelyn had a blast!  I've never seen her so happy!!  What better place to have this crazy girl's party than to essentially enclose her in a padded room and let her go nuts!

I am very proud of my Minnie cake.  I'm determined to make my kids' birthday cakes, just like my Mom always did for me.  I love this tradition

It is difficult to take pictures in a bouncy house.  Too many moving objects

Big smile!

Evelyn with her friend Mia

Our little climber is going up the big slide all by herself

At the top and so proud of herself

Ok this is a terribly blurry picture but she flies down the slide so fast, it's impossible to catch a good shot.  She has no fear!  At one point she jumped from the top and landed near the bottom like a stunt double.  Can't she slide like normal children??

Playing with friends

Lorelai and the girls are bouncing around

Flying down the slides

"Come on Daddy!  It's fun!"

Biggest smile

I love this picture because you can see Daddy peeking through in the back

Going through the obstacle course play area

Climbing with her sister

"Mommy, I see you!  I'm almost out."

Falling over in laughter

headfirst!

This is the cutest picture.  When we all started to sing to Evelyn, she looked around astonished at everyone singing at HER!  It is clear that in this house Lorelai is louder and demands attention.  Evelyn enjoyed the attention on her for a change.

When you end a party like this....I consider it a SUCCESS!
