Vacation... THE BEACH!

Lorelai really liked the beach.  The sand took some getting used to.  She didn't like to walk on it.  I think it was because she felt unstable.  Her favorite part was getting in her tube and having Daddy take her in the water to ride the waves.  The waves would crash into her face and she'd just laugh and laugh.  She did not mind one bit.

She didn't like the sand on her hands.  We had to give her a pail of water to rinse her hands in while she played.  We all took turns filling up her pail.

She would walk in the sand as long as you were holding her hand.  But if you let go, she would freeze in place and would talk and talk, as if to say, "come get me!"  She wouldn't walk in the sand on her own.

Panama City Beach... Carnival rides!

Not far from the hotel there was a carnival and we just had to take Lorelai to ride the rides.  She loves them!!!

Panama City Beach... Wonder Works!

We took Lorelai to this place called Wonder Works.  She loved all of the stimulation.  Both the baby and the big kids had fun.  We ended the day with Daddy playing laser tag with Aunt Becca, Uncle Stevie, and Uncle Joe (Lorelai was fast asleep by this time).

Panama City Beach... morning walk on the beach

It was overcast on this day, but we wanted to take Lorelai down to the beach and stick her toes in the sand.  That was not her favorite.  I think she felt very unstable so we carried her most of the way.  Also, she was a little nervous about first seeing the waves.  We still had fun taking  a stroll down the shore.

Panama City Beach Vacation... On our way

Last week we left on our way to a week long, much  needed, vacation in Panama City Beach.  We were all so excited to go.  Lorelai really likes to be in the water so I knew she'd have fun.  There are going to be several posts of our vacation because so many pictures were taken!

Lorelai couldn't have been more perfect on the plane ride there.  She slept the entire way.  I was dreading the flight because I thought it'd be difficult... but it was surprisingly uneventful.

She decided to read a book while she waits for everyone to get ready for the beach. Disregard the fact that the book is upside down...

Lorelai loved the balcony.  Here is the view from our room.  Beautiful!  Lorelai liked to to watch the birds and helicopters the best.
