October wrap-up...

Left over October pictures....

Spending this beautiful fall day going on a hike

Mommy's turn to carry the sleepy baby...

Passed out...hiking is rough!

Temper tantrum because I told her not to go into the cabinet...

...ok, fine, you win...you can play

pretty, pretty princess.  This girl loves dress up

Silly girls going on an ocean voyage

Look out!

now Evelyn is playing dress up with her little sister

Lorelai is really getting into arts and crafts.

We are loving this autumn weather!

"I'm not sure about that mustache, Papa Joe!"

Trick-or-treat!

Halloween is here and the girls had such a great time trick-or-treating.  It seems as though the holiday is getting bigger.  There's trick-or-treating of course...but now there's also trunk-or-treating at the church, and a costume parade complete with candy at school too.  This candy will last until next year!

Cinderella is all ready to do a little Trunk-or-Treating at the church

And my evil villain is ready for some candy too!

On the hay ride to the trunk-or-treat event!

Happy 1st Halloween, Scarlet!  She's such a cute pumpkin!

Evelyn with her class.  She decided no more Cinderella.  After tripping over her dress all night at the trunk-or-treat, she was over it.  But she was very excited to be Minnie Mouse!

I couldn't get Evelyn back into her Cinderella costume.  She said, "No Cinderella!  Minnie Mouse!!"  These girls are adorable and their costumes perfectly reflect their tastes and personalities

Is it just me?...or is my Darth Vader a little feminine?

Not a great picture of Addie's costume, but she's going as an Imperial Walker...from Star Wars.  Just a little transportation for Darth Vader

They made out pretty good...

Pumpkin Carving...

A Dai Family tradition of carving pumpkins!!!  One of my favorite Halloween activities!

Everyone participates!

Even Scarlet is getting in on the action.  Pumpkin is delicious!

Evelyn did not want to touch the pumpkin guts...picking out the insides seed by seed...

Lorelai is not afraid of getting a little messy!

Lorelai picked this one out.  Scary Moon!

Evelyn wanted a "Spooky Spider"

This is the one that Lorelai and Maddie did together.  Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas.  Not bad for her first pumpkin carving...

Daddy's masterpiece!

Pumpkins all in a row...

Trick-or-Treating at the Zoo!

The Zoo has a big Halloween party on select days in October.  We didn't go last year but decided to give it a try.  I didn't realize just how big of a party it was!  The zoo closed early to regular guests and reopened at 5pm for trick-or-treaters who had special party tickets.  There were tons of characters to meet and the girls loved getting all the candy.  The characters weren't as great as Disney World (obviously) but they were still awestruck.  The zoo was decorated beautifully and had different themes spread throughout....Fairy tale land that had a bunch of Disney princesses and characters, a Dinosaur area, a super hero land, etc etc etc...

It was actually an abnormally hot day today.  Lorelai is going to be Darth Vader (of course!) for Halloween but I thought it'd be too hot today to wear that costume considering its long sleeves, all black, and has a mask.  She dressed up as Princess Sophia instead.  Evelyn was Cinderella.  Here they are, meeting Elsa!

Not the best Cinderella impersonator, but Evelyn loved that they were dressed the same.

Evelyn and Lorelai loved these giant, blow up dinosaurs

A little scary...but very cool!

The girls got to meet the Toy Story gang (Woody, Jessie, and Buzz)

Captain Hook and Peter Pan.  Evelyn was busy eating candy and wasn't too keen on standing next to the pirate

When I saw the Star Wars characters, I kind of wished I had dressed Lorelai as Darth Vader.  She screamed with glee when she saw him.  I told him, "Darth Vader is her favorite!" and he replied, "...as it should be!" I explained that Lorelai was going to be Darth Vader for Halloween and he told her, "Enjoy your time on the dark side!"  He sounded just like him!

This meet and greet was probably one of my most embarrassing moments as a parent.  Evelyn loves Ariel.  She's probably her favorite princess.  She ran right up to her, because she was so excited, and stomped all over her tail.  Then she grabbed at her hair (I think she just liked the red).  To top it off, after Evelyn gave Ariel a hug, she grabbed her seashell bra and then tried to look down her shirt to check for "Baby's milk?"  ...Time to go, Evelyn!!!

The girls were asked to do "super poses" so I think Evelyn is trying to do spider fingers like Spiderman

Pumpkin patch...take 3!!

Another day at the farm!

Lorelai calls them, "her goat friends"

Evelyn enjoyed feeding the chickens and how they pecked the food our of her hands

"Yay!  Daddy, I did it!"
We decided to tackle the big corn maze.  There's a challenge in this maze to see if you can find all the pieces to T. Wister's house!  The girls did pretty well!  Below are pictures of all the items they found.

Lorelai liked to lead the pack and pick the direction we went.  She got really excited whenever she found an item!

My sweet, little pumpkin having fun during her very first Halloween season.  And She's wearing Lorelai's old Halloween ghost shirt.

All smiles with Momma on the hayride!
