Cinderella Dinner

Thursday evening we had reservations to have dinner with Cinderella.  We did this dinner last year and it is my absolute favorite.  Not only is the food delicious (butternut squash ravioli was amazing) but the characters are hilarious and spend quite a bit of time interacting with the girls at the table.  This visit didn't disappoint!!!!

Getting our picture taken before dinner

Meeting Prince Charming.  Lorelai is showing him her Prince Charming penny that she got from one of the Penny Press Machines.

Lorelai actually asked if she could dance with him!  Of course he said yes!

Loving hugs from Cinderella

This was amazing.  Randomly, in the middle of dinner, Cinderella and Prince Charming came to our table and asked us to follow them "discreetly".  We did, and the led us into another room for a little one-on-one time with them and a group picture.  I'm not sure why my girls got chosen (it must be because they are so adorable).  This rarely happens because when the characters enter the diningroom, they do so at timed intervals so that the characters are spaced around the room.

It was a special treat!

The stepmother was hilarious!  Lorelai said to her, "You are not nice to Cinderella!"  Her reply was, "Well of course I am.  Where would Cinderella be without me?  Still singing to bubbles and talking to same old mice.  I'm sure when you're bad, you get into trouble too.  Now I'm the BAD GUY!"

Anastasia was very funny as well. She kept telling the girls to "Marry for money!"

Lorelai wanted to dance with her as well.  Anastasia called her "obnoxious!"  Hahaha

Thursday....our day off

I didn't want to push the girls too hard by going to the park too many times in a row so we took a day off on Thursday.  We still had meals planned at some resorts but we let them sleep in, get good naps, and recharge before our final park day...

We started the morning having breakfast at Chef Mickey's.  This is a popular character meal, the girls loved it.  Lots of music and a little chaotic but we had a good time.

Lorelai and Evelyn easily make friends (Lorelai is a little more outgoing than Evelyn.  Evelyn tends to follow the lead of her big sister).  Everywhere we go she is interacting with other kids.  This video is so cute because she really just wanted to dance and wanted the little girl who was at the table next to us to dance too.

After breakfast we headed to Downtown Disney for some shopping and sites....

Wednesday evening...back to MK

Naps are done...rain is coming down....that won't stop us!  Back to Magic Kingdom, equipped with rain jackets, ponchos, and umbrellas!

Getting wet won't keep her from enjoying her Olaf cake pop

Meeting Mickey Mouse!  This meet and greet was pretty cool because his character can talk.  The girls were pretty amazed!

Disney's 7 Dwarfs Mine Train ride just opened last year.  We didn't ride it because the girls were too small.  I was getting nervous that Lorelai wouldn't be able to ride this year either.  Disney is very strict on their height requirements.  We've been telling her for months to "eat your vegetables so you can grow big and ride the Snow White ride!"  I really didn't want her to be disappointed.  Just a couple weeks before we left she was measured by the doctor and was 37.5" with bare feet.  You need to be 38" to ride.  She was so close....they measured her for a good minute or two making sure she was flat footed, looking straight ahead, etc.  Very strict.  But she made it!!!  AND LOVED IT!!  Awesome pictures and we got a video too!

Here's the video of her riding the mine train ride....

The rain has slowed and we are getting ready for the Electrical Parade!

Wednesday morning...Magic Kingdom!

Back to Magic Kingdom for another day!

We are ready for a magical day!

I didn't think Evelyn would be big enough to ride but she I was wrong.  Lorelai, of course, is behind the wheel.  Mom will sit this one out.

Astro Oribiter

The girls loved meeting Tinkerbell.

Another shot in front of the castle

Evelyn's turn with the Minnie Mouse ears.  She's adorable

Riding the Jungle Cruise!  One of Lorelai's favorites.  She kept asking to ride it.  Sometimes we'd be on the other side of the park and she'd ask, "Can we ride the Jungle Cruise now?"  Rode this ride quite a few times... I enjoy this ride but the corny jokes could use some variety

I love this picture.  Her smile warms my heart.  She shows so much joy when she smiles.  I love to see my girls light up!

Playing around with her sister...listening to music and dancing/chasing each other around

Typical Lorelai

We stayed at a much more less expensive hotel this time around because we wanted our trip to be longer.  Part of that comes with having to catch the bus to our hotel instead of being able to walk like last year.  I try to keep the kids awake until we reach the hotel so they'll nap good in their beds instead of getting a "second wind" and being cranky.  We had the bright idea...put Evelyn on your shoulders...that'll keep her awake.  Ummmm, not so much.  She is running on empty...

Ok, Evelyn....you've won this battle.  There was absolutely no keeping her awake.  Back to the hotel for naptime...
