Little bakers....

Evelyn has been busy enjoying some of her birthday presents.  She got this wooden cookie set as a gift and the girls have been playing with it nonstop.  (Lorelai is also enjoying all of Evelyn's presents).

Twinkle, Twinkle...

Lorelai makes me sing to her every night before bed and also before her naps.  She really likes me to sing "twinkle, twinkle, little star".  I think it's because she knows all the words.  On this day, I caught her singing to her toys as she put them away and saying, "Goodnight, I'll see you in the morning."  Too cute...

Walking the dog...

We love to take family walks in the evening.  Lorelai has really gotten into wanting to walk the dog.  She has even started walking her around the house.  She'll say, "come on, Addie... let's go for a walk."  She, however, gets frustrated when the dog no longer wants to walk...

Evelyn's Party

We had a party for Evelyn the day before her birthday on Sunday.  It was a quiet little BBQ and we invited some friends and a couple babies.  Evelyn loved her cake!!  She was much messier than Lorelai was.  Both my girls definitely have a sweet tooth.

I am so proud of the cake I made for Evelyn.  I made the last two for Lorelai but I always had the watchful eye of my talented Mom at my disposal.  This is the first cake I did all by myself!!  I made her a little bluebird because we call Evelyn our little bird.

Evelyn is 1 year old!!

My baby is not so much a baby anymore.  One year ago today she entered the world (fast and furiously) at 11:10am, weighing 8lb 12oz and measuring 20 inches long.  I can't believe a year has gone by.  I miss my snuggly baby. I am in the mood to reminisce.  Below are some of the very first pictures of little Evelyn.

Happy 4th of July!

The girls loved celebrating the 4th of July.  Thank you to Babci for the beautiful dresses!  Unfortunately, I had to work so Joe did fireworks and giant sparklers in our driveway.
