Meeting Cousin Thomas

We spent the first couple days at home at Uncle TJ's house.  We also wanted to meet baby cousin, Thomas.  He is a cutie pie and just 4 days older than Evelyn.  I loved seeing them play together.  It was a good time.

Happy Belated Father's Day!

Here are the pictures I took for Joe's Father's Day gift.  We put the pictures in a tri-fold frame for him to put on his desk.  Thanks to Auntie for helping with the picture-taking.  Toddlers and babies can be uncooperative.  The pictures spell out "D-A-D".  They are going to be put in his office!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately.  Most of you already know that the girls and I have been in Nashua, NH for the past almost 2 weeks visiting family.  Joe was only able to come for a short, three days during this period because he couldn't miss work.  This meant that Momma was flying alone with two little ones.  The flight up wasn't too bad.  Thanks to everyone at home for their hospitality and taking so much time off work to spend with me and the girls.  It meant a lot!  Also, congratulations to Uncle Joe on his graduation from high school (our whole reason for going home in the first place!)  We know you'll do great things at Sacred Heart University.

Singing in the rain!

We were feeling cooped up in the house and had had several days of rain.  That didn't stop us from going out.  Equipped with umbrellas, we ventured out to the zoo.  It started out great.  A light drizzle that stopped and started again.  This led to a torrential downpour!!  We had to run back to the car (good thing we had the jogging stroller).  We were surprised to find a minor flash flood in the street we needed to cross to get to our car.  We had to push the stroller through knee-deep water to get out of there....but we were laughing all the way.  Safe and dry at home....

We gave Lorelai one of our umbrellas but it was a little heavy and awkward to hold

Luckily, the zoo sold umbrellas and we quickly picked out this giraffe for her
