First trip to the playground

Ok, so Lorelai is still a little young but I really liked the great picture opportunities at the playground.  I think she still had fun.

Her first trip down the slide

She loved the bright colors and patterns on all the playground equipment

Lorelai loves to swing with Mommy

I thought this picture was so funny.  She looks like she's dancing or taking steps or something...

She tried so so so hard to get up this ABC ladder, but she just couldn't get her footing.  Give it a month or two, Lorelai, and you'll be climbing much better!

She liked the choo choo train

"I see you, Mommy!"

The only reason I included this picture was because she completely surprised me.  This is the very first time, EVER, that Lorelai has stood on her own!  Without holding on!!  She was holding onto the seat and then she stood up straight and wobbled a bit.  I was nervous she would fall, but she didn't.  After about 3-5 seconds, she lowered herself back down and re-balanced herself back onto the seat.  So happy I caught this moment on film.  She looks a little nervous, no?  hahaha

"MMMmmm!  Germs!"

crawling through a tunnel

Thank you for the fun day, Mommy

Outside playtime

It's finally starting to get a little nicer outside so I took the baby and the animals out for some fresh air.  Lorelai was a happy baby this morning and I seized the opportunity to take some pictures of her and the dog.

"My! What a large head you have, Addie!"

best buds

The swing is her favorite.  She just giggles and giggles

BONK!!!!!!!

This is all Daddy's doing...and I am just so proud.

Muppets!!!!

I thought maybe Lorelai would be scared of these giant muppets but she thought they were the best.  She wanted to hang out with them all day long!  There was a muppet show at the Sea World park and we stopped to get her picture taken.  I guess we'll have to take her to a show sometime!

She isn't scared of the giant muppet one bit, is she?

Sea World

After our 5K we were given free admission into Sea World for the day.  Lorelai loves fish and aquariums so we thought we'd try it out.  She was a very good baby.  I can tell that we are definitely raising an animal-lover.  We saw beluga whales, dolphins, acrobats, killer whales, and much more!

Waiting for the Beluga whale show to start she was eyeing some cotton candy.  What's the harm...it's just sugar.  Will she like it??

Strange, sticky cotton candy.

Doesn't really know what to make of it, but she wanted more and more.  Too bad she was only allowed three bites.  Too young for all that sugar!  She takes after her Mom though...such a sweet tooth!
Still waiting for the Beluga whale and dolphins

Lorelai LOVED Shamu!  She loved to watch the giant whales jump but her favorite part was their mighty splashes!  She giggled throughout the whole show!

Trying to take a closer look at those Killer Whales!
She's getting so big

Such a serious rider.  She's all business

Lorelai loves water.  At Sea World they had a great kid area with fountains and waterfalls and all kinds of activities and jungle gyms.  Most of them Lorelai was still too young for, but she enjoyed playing in the water anyways.

Run for the Fund 5K!

Today I participated in my very first race.  It wasn't very long...just a 5K but I think it's a good place to start.  We did the Sea World's Run for the Fund run.  This run is to help endangered animals.  Daddy, Momma, and little Lorelai all participated in the race.  Lorelai is such motivation for me.  We did well, running the race in 28:35 which isn't bad considering I was pushing the baby the whole way and there were several hills.  Poor Lorelai got up earlier than usual so we could attend the race and as soon as the gun went off... well...  she passed out and missed the whole thing!  Sea World did a wonderful job with the race.  There were animals all along the path.  We ran by Beluga whales, pythons, macaws, owls, and many more!  It was a fun day and I know we'll participate in many more.

All ready to go...or so we thought!  Lorelai fell asleep as soon as we crossed the starting line!

Playtime

Lorelai loves playtime!

"What Momma?  I'm just playing..."

"Here Mom, you can share my blocks"
