POOR BABY!

Who ever thought that Mommy's hair could be so scary!  I was getting Lorelai up from her nap, very routine, nothing out of the ordinary.  When I was changing her diaper, her toe caught my eye because it looked a little red.  On closer inspection I saw that one of my hairs had wrapped itself around her toe like a tourniquet!  She started crying whenever it was touched.  It was cutting so deep that it was actually bleeding a little.  It took me some time, but I finally got it off with some tweezers.  It's the next day and even though her toe looks much better, there's still a deep mark.  It's so hard to inflict pain on your baby in order to help them.  She was crying and crying.  That was yesterday.  By the evening she was back to her normal self, jumping in the jumparoo.  I'm sure it was a more trying experience for Mommy than for baby.

Gotta give the public what they want...

And the public wants........ MORE LORELAI!  I apologize for not making more posts.  Things have been hectic with this international move but they don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.  Also, with this blog I had no idea who looks at my posts, how often, and when.  Well, just this week I've gotten a couple of comments about how I need to post more.  So, you gotta give the public what they want!  Here are some random pictures from the last week.

My baby is becoming mobile!  No crawling yet but she rolls and scoots all over the place.  She is never where I left her.  She likes to play on her belly with her toys.  In this picture she's holding a toy ball that looks like a penguin that giggles when she rolls it.

Lorelai is jumping in her jumparoo.  As she's jumping I noticed that the sunlight is reflecting off of it and making a dot of light bounce on the ground.  It's making the cat going beserk!

MMMMmmm!  Morning oatmeal.

Happy baby

She's starting to sit up on her own too

Green beans for lunch

Hanging with her buddy/protector.  Addie won't move a muscle when Lorelai is around.  It's like she knows that the baby is fragile.

Lorelai is playing with Addie's feet.

She thought Addie's feet were hilarious.  She kept touching them and then giggling.

Loving Dermatology

We are loving Dermatology.  Dermatology means that Daddy gets to stay home on the holidays instead of working late in the hospital.  It's a nice change from Orthopaedics.  Daddy had July 4th and 5th off and we had some good family time.  Lorelai is sure happy to get to spend all this time with him.

Happy Independence Day!

We took Lorelai to the fireworks this fourth of July.  It was a little past her bedtime but she didn't cry at all and she loved the bright colors.  We had a great time!

Lorelai looking all patriotic

Can't you see how much she loves her Daddy?

Lorelai loved to play with the flag

sparklers are fun!

First time in a pool

Ok, so Lorelai went "swimming" before in Pop-Pop's hot tub but this was her first time in a real pool.  She loved it!  A total water-bug.  This was done right before we left for Texas at a BBQ.  I totally forgot to bring her bathing suit which is why she is just in a diaper.  I also wasn't expecting her to go for a swim because I thought the water would be cold but it was heated to a wonderful 85 degrees.  I can't wait to take her swimming again!

6 months old!!

The time is just going by way too fast!  I can't believe it's already been half a year.  It's unbelievable...  I love to watch her grow and change and develop but I wish it would all slow down a little.

This picture was hard to take this month.  Lorelai just learned to roll over and that's all she wants to do now!!  For once I found my self saying, "stop rolling over!"

Tummy-time

Lorelai is starting to enjoy her tummy-time and loves to roll over now.  Addie loves to lay next to her and protect her.  She is very good with the baby.
