Softball pictures

I'm behind on my posts.  Between selling a house, upcoming vacation, moving, etc, I've been pretty busy.  Here are Lorelai's softball pictures...

Scarlet's Compositions

Composition #3 she had to write about being in a race.  She was concerned and said to me "I've never been in a race!!"  I told her to be creative.  Has she ever raced a sister? brother? raced on a bike? etc.  She said that at recess everyday her and her friend, Annabelle, race to the swings!

Composition #4.  She had to write about a garden

Composition #5.  She had to write about looking at the stars.

Composition #6 she had to write about her favorite color balloon

Below is a video of Scarlet doing one of her compositions.  She didn't know I was videoing her.  She is singing "Lamb of God you take away the sins of the world.  Have mercy on us!"  I love it!

Joseph's baptism

Joseph is finally baptized!  He was baptized June 11, 2022.  In the past, our other kids were always baptized before their first birthday.  We wanted a friend of the family to do the baptism (he baptized Scarlet for us and it would have made it extra special) but our schedules and timing would never align for it to happen.  Then we moved twice and covid hit... Poor Joseph, his baptism just kept getting put off!!  We really wanted to do his baptism at St. Columba before we left Colorado.  Joseph has been to Mass here and is comfortable with Fr. Kevin.
I am so proud of him.  He took this day so seriously.  Every time the priest spoke to him, he looked him right in the eye with the respect and understanding that this was a big deal!  The whole congregation participated in blessing him as we walked down the aisle behind the cross bearer.  He stood at the fountain, was baptized, and everyone clapped.  Afterwards, so many people from the church came up to congratulate him on his big, important day.  It was very special.

His Godmother is Rebecca Chimelski (like with all the kids).  Instead of a Godfather, he has two Christian Witnesses, our very best friends Kyle and Effie McClendon who all participate in spiritually guiding him.  Because they couldn't be here for the ceremony, Joseph's preschool director, Sherry Herrin, stood in for us.  She took him to mass during preschool and was a very special person to Joseph during his first year of school.  We were blessed to have her participate.

My sweet boy... he cleans up nice!

Uncle Stevie’s visit

Uncle Stevie and his girlfriend, Lilou, came to visit us.  We haven't seen them for a few years so the kids were very excited!

The first morning they were here we took them on a hike near our house

We all made it to the top!

We showed them some of our historic downtown too!

The next day, after a morning of softball games, we took them to our private lake
