Tons of outside time...

The sun is out! It's a miracle. This has been the dreariest, wettest winter and spring and the kids need to get out...  We will take advantage of every sunny day.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter holiday.  However, we celebrated the day before because the weather forecast called for rain all day long.  With these kids being in quarantine, they never knew the difference.  Beautiful sunny day, perfect for an egg hunt!

Daddy’s 40th!

We tried to make Daddy’s birthday special, especially since we had to stay at home. I ordered a wonderful Miyazaki ribeye from Japan and the kids made cards and pictures. We finished off the day with a homemade peanut butter cake!

We always make a special birthday card for Daddy.  All the kids helped!

Joseph loved the paint dobbers.  He soon learned that they make big splatter prints when you drop the dobbers from high up.  He's such a boy...

I was very impressed with Scarlet's picture.  We have a turtle pond by our house and it's where we take almost daily family walks.  She did a great job on her turtle pond for Dad.

Joseph is such the daredevil.  I see many skinned knees and elbows in our future.

Bike upgrade!!

Scarlet's little purple bike was falling apart so we've upgraded her the next size up!  This is an old bike of Evelyn's.  She is doing so well with it.  Next, we'll be taking off her training wheels!

Joseph is upset.  He didn't eat his dinner so when his older sisters had ice cream for dessert, he had an opinion about that....  I guess I'm just not his favorite person right now.

This girl is ready for spring!  The weather in early March was still a little chilly, but she really wanted to wear a dress anyways.  I had to put pants and long sleeves underneath but shes happy!

The stomach bug has hit!  But only Evelyn was affected.  Counting my blessings that we all didn't get it.  She's my easiest sick kid.

We thought the quarantine might provide a good opportunity to try to potty train.  Big boy pants for Joseph!  It didn't last.  He started hiding from me when he had to potty.  We'll try again in a couple months.

Coronavirus has Evelyn all tied up.  This kid could NOT stop touching things.  I just started calling her "inmate".
