Scarlet's Pre-K closing ceremony...

The day after Evelyn's Graduation Scarlet had her preschool closing ceremony.  She did better than the Christmas Pageant.  Scarlet is my shyest child and at first wouldn't sing at all because she was too overwhelmed by the audience.  By the end, she broke out of her shell quite a bit!  Her favorite song came on and she sang along with everyone else!  I am so proud of her.  I won't post every video because for most of the songs she just stood there... Side note: the girl in the purple dress standing next to her drove me nuts throughout the entire performance.

Evelyn's Pre-K Graduation....

Evelyn is moving on to Kindergarten next year and that means it's pre-k graduation time.  They had a little ceremony at school.  You probably remember Lorelai's from two years ago.  She was a little shy at first and would only sing to her friend standing next to her but she warmed up quickly...

Dinosaur World

We are celebrating Lorelai working hard at school and doing exceptional on her testing so we wanted to do something special.  We took a trip to Dinosaur World!  Take a look!

Checking out the fossil dig.  Each kiddo got to keep three fossils that they dug up

Mother's Day...

I have had the very best Mother's Day yet.  Lorelai is 7 years old now and is very into it.  That's the best part!  All week she's been planning and scheming and trying to make it a special day.  I was told in the morning to stay in bed and Joe got up with the kids.  I was surprised with a smorgasbord of food delivered on a tray complete with a SHOWER of pictures and cards.  The kids made pancakes, fresh fruit, hickory smoked bacon and my coffee and whipped cream from scratch!!  Each kid helped with a different component of the breakfast.  The cards were wonderful and though a bit of a mess was left behind in the kitchen, Joe cleaned up every last bit of it.  Lorelai is already planning on what we should do for dinner and what games to play as a family on this rainy day.

While waiting for my breakfast in bed, I stole some snuggles with this little one

Even though it was delivered on a tray to my bed, I decided to eat at the table.  Let's be honest, between babies and puppies, something would have spilled.

Here's the book Lorelai made for me.  It had me cracking up.

I really enjoyed Lorelai's book.  It's wonderful to see how a child's mind works

I love being a Mom to these kiddos

The morning after Mother's Day, Evelyn had "Muffins with Mom" morning at her school where I was given a yellow rose and ANOTHER piece of artwork.  Amazing

Lorelai asked me days before Mother's Day what my favorite flower was and decorated a picture with them. She said "I made purple tulips and I didn't know what peonies looked like so I just guessed."

My heart is so full after this day.  The kids were great and so into it.  They all made me feel so incredibly special.  Lorelai said, "I wish Mother's Day was every day because you deserve it.  But, if it was every day it probably wouldn't feel so special anymore.  Hmmmm…. well I guess you could have two Mother's Days and it still be special right?"
