Happy little jumper...

Joseph is getting the hang of his jumperoo.  And I just love the noises he makes when he's happy!

Hard work...

It's such hard work reaching those milestones...  You can tell in this video that Joseph is kind of done playing and is getting ready for a nap.

A taste of warm weather...

We had a random warm day come through and for once it wasn't raining...  So, I kicked the kids outside to have some fun in the sun.  Lorelai worked really hard on her new bike she got from Santa.  It's a little bigger than she's used to so she really had to practice getting on and off.  Evelyn worked on her balance bike and Scarlet just tried to keep up!

Rolling over!

On February 4th Joseph rolled over for the first time.  After that first time, there was no keeping him on his back.  He rolls over to his belly, over and over again.  And he's quite proud of himself too!

So, Joseph was laying on his back just playing with some toys etc while I was doing stuff around the house.  I came to check on him and I was just like, "Hmmm...this was not how I left you..."  This is a picture of the very first time he rolled over.

He's so happy with himself.  I think he was trying to get a toy that was out of reach

Great Wolf Lodge...

We took a little weekend getaway to Cincinnati and spent a couple days at Great Wolf Lodge.  It's an indoor waterpark for the kids.  Tons of slides, pools, splash pads, everything.  They even have scheduled dance parties every night that the kids love!

The Lodge has several characters that come out to greet and play with the guests

Evelyn is working hard in the coloring station... she's waiting for the dance party to begin

Scarlet loved the water but was very cautious about it.  She went down a kiddie slide a couple of times and that was it for her.  She kept falling over and laying down on the slide so she preferred to just swim in the wave pool and splash in the fountains

Evelyn, my little dare devil, surprisingly has a minor fear of the water.  She does NOT want her face to get wet.  She wouldn't even TRY the baby slides.  She had a great time as long as I left her alone to play in the water

Scarlet's debating the treachery of the waves

Lorelai was fearless in the water!!  She swam out to the deep end of the wave pool and rode the waves in over and over again.  She went down the biggest slides with Daddy.  We couldn't get her out of the water

Lorelai going down the kiddie slide has to make it more exciting by going down head first

Joseph was indifferent to the water but he loved the sights and sounds of the water park!  He would sit and contently watch everything going on until the overstimulation put him right to sleep

Scarlet is learning to float in her new life jacket

Both Evelyn and Scarlet loved walking around on their hands and kicking their feet around the pools

Clinging to Daddy in the deeper pool

Look at her go!

Lorelai has been taking riding lessons for about 18 months and it is something she is very interested in and seems passionate about.  A couple weeks ago she told me she was cantering on her horse and I told her "No way, I don't believe you."  Well, her instructor took a video as proof!  Look at her go!

First cereals...

Joseph does not sleep as well as each of his sisters did.  He wakes up much hungrier than they ever did.  At his 3 month appointment, Joseph was in the 46th percentile for weight.  At his 4 month appointment he was at the 49th percentile!  None of the other girls went up.  They all trended down in weight until they reached about the 20th percentile and then stayed there.  Maybe this little boy will be bigger than his petite sisters.  Anyway, this tired Momma has decided to start some oatmeal a little early.  He's getting the hang of it but I think it'll be a little while before he's eating large enough amounts to help his sleep.  We're working on it.

January wrap-up...

Leftover pictures from January...

Working on those muscles...

Our little gymnast

Scarlet loves to wear her blankets like a shawl around the house

Sweet big sister

Lorelai is getting very much into Legos and is able to follow all the directions with no help from Mom and Dad. Her creations are getting quite impressive!

I love these sweet moments

Scarlet is graduating from her highchair and joining her sisters in a big girl chair

All smiles in his jumparoo

"Bro, do you even lift?"
