Big sister

I have to be honest, I was a little worried about how Scarlet would adjust to being a big sister.  She can get pretty jealous of her Mommy.  But now I think she believes I had this baby to give her a real live baby doll.  She wants to hold him all the time...

Christmas Pageant

Evelyn had her Christmas Pageant.  She did a great job.  She gets shy with so many people looking at her but she knew all the words and all the hand motions...

This girl loves food...

Scarlet loves food and now that she's beginning to master the fork and spoon, there's no stopping her!

A visit to Santa!

Our annual visit to Santa.  We were so lucky to be the only ones there at the time so we got to spend a lot of time with Santa.  Scarlet was interested in him..... from afar.  She would NOT even stand next to him so she's missing from the pictures.  At one point he offered her a candy cane.  She ran up, took the candy and dashed away.  Maybe next year?

Christmas photos

Lorelai's elementary school had a Holiday Bazaar and the school nurse had set up a photo shoot.  I usually don't get Christmas photos taken of the girls because you can only have them up such a short time in the house, but the price here was too good to pass up!  Ten digital images for $25!  I rushed home, got the kids dressed up and rushed back.  They weren't the best photos ever but you just can't beat the price.  Scarlet is in a very big "stranger danger" phase and it took everything we had just to get her to sit in the chair.  She wouldn't smile but oh well...

A moment of sweetness...

The girls fight...quite a bit.  But sometimes there's this moment of sweetness between them and you see the love they share for one another.  It warms my heart!  Just a moment of a sister helping out another sister...

Just like Momma...

Scarlet likes to be just like Momma.  She NEEDS to "help" in the kitchen, take care of the baby, and basically do anything Mommy does...

In this picture, I was busy cooking dinner and Scarlet went into the pantry and then got into my breast pump.  Just trying it out...

An evening downtown...

Our historic downtown has a "Second Saturday" event once a month.  This month was "Dine Around Downtown" and we were able to purchase a passport that let us sample food all over downtown!  It was a lot of fun!  The girls' favorite part was the trolley that helped bring people around.
