Louisville Zoo trick-or-treating!

The Zoo has a trick-or-treating event every year and the girls have a lot of fun with it! There are a lot of characters to meet and tons of candy to collect!

Kentucky Down Under...

A visit to Kentucky Down Under!  The girls had a great time and Joseph slept the entire time in the baby carrier.  Great family outing!

Sickness!!!!

Our house has been hit with sickness and it just won't go away!!!  It's been cycling through every family member.  It started with Lorelai, then Evelyn and Scarlet and Joe, and finally to me and the baby....

I thought Evelyn was being too quiet during lunch time.... I woke her up and she said she just wanted to go nap

Poor Baby Joseph was the last one to get sick and, because of his age, he had a hard time dealing with the respiratory infection.  On the third night he was sick he became lethargic and had trouble breathing.  I took him to the ER to be on the safe side but he ended up being admitted and staying two nights!!!!  He is doing great now and everyone is on the mend.

Joseph is my fourth kid... and my very first trip to the ER.  Is this what having a little boy is like??

So this just happened...

We made the decision early on that the girls could have their ears pierced whenever they wanted.  All they have to do is ask.  I've mentioned it to Lorelai a couple times but when she found out that a needle would put a hole in her ear, she wasn't really into it.  Well, peer pressure has set in and a lot of girls in kindergarten have their ears pierced so she has been wanting to get it done.  She did great and only cried a little bit.  The entire ride home she kept saying, "I can't believe I got my ears pierced!  Like, is this real?"  Hahaha!  I asked Evelyn if she wanted her ears done and she said, "No way!  That would hurt!"
