I did it!!

I love to hear Scarlet learn new words and phrases.  Her latest is, "I DID IT!!!!"  It's adorable...

Scarlet and her baby...

Scarlet loves babies.  I caught her singing and rocking her baby... but that quickly turned to throwing her doll over the back of a chair repeatedly.  I'm going to have to keep an eye on her when the new baby arrives.

Little Helper...

So much can be done during the day while the girls are at school.... and I have a little helper.  Scarlet LOVES to clean.  Sometimes to the point where I think it's a little odd.  I guess I can't complain but she loves to follow me around and help with every job I do...

I'm not sure how she learned so fast.  I know at the end of preschool she was learning sight words etc but reading is not something we have pushed at all and one day she just picked up a book, determined to read and here we are!  I am constantly amazed at this girl's intelligence.  Literally, just a couple of weeks and she can read very advanced books for her age.  She even started sounding out words I was spelling to Joe because I didn't want her to know what I was saying.  Guess I need to be a little more careful now.  She's always listening!

Creepy belly...

This little boy in my belly is more active than all three girls combined.  He is most active at night around 9pm it seems.  Every time I try to capture it on video, it seemed like he would stop buy I finally captured a little bit of it.  These videos show him moving like crazy in my belly.  This isn't even the most he's every moved!  He seems to be a night owl!

This third video is the creepiest!  I took it at midnight.  He was squirming around so much I couldn't sleep!

Etown splash pad...

So, Elizabethtown has a splash pad too.  It's not as sophisticated as the one at the zoo but it doesn't take much to amuse kids.  I took Evelyn and Scarlet on a playdate while Lorelai was at Kindy camp.  They are having fun enjoying the end of summer...

First day of school...

Thursday, August 10th was the first day of school.  THANK GOD!  Summer was killing this tired, pregnant Mom.  Lorelai is going to Kindergarten and will be in school all day!!  7:35am - 2:20pm!  Joe is going to drop her off on his way to work and she is going to take the bus home!!  Big girl!  It's probably what she is most excited about.  She's been wanting to take the bus since she was 2 years old.  It's also nice that the bus comes straight to our driveway...

Evelyn is beginning PreK-4.  She'll be in school Monday-Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm and she has the same teacher Lorelai had last year.  It was an easy transition for her because she knows Lorelai's old teacher very well.  Every one is excited but I think I am the MOST excited!

Lorelai did so great.  I walked her in to the school because it was her first day but before I could blink an eye she was in her assigned seat, making friends and playing.  I came up behind her to give her a kiss good-bye, she turned to me and said, "I'll miss you, Mom" but turned right back to her friends.  She didn't even watch me leave.  Growing up too fast...

Evelyn was the same thing.  Barely a good-bye.  She wanted to get right down to exploring the new classroom.

...Rough night??

Scarlet has been evicted from the crib to make room for the new baby.  Out of the nursery and all three girls are now sharing a room.  Sounds like a disaster but it's actually going very well!

Such a big girl!  Once kindergarten starts, Daddy is going to be driving her to school in the morning on his way to work.  She finally meets the height/weight requirements for a booster seat. Thank God!  I did not want to have to buy another car seat.  It also helps that the school is only about 1.5miles from the house.  She's excited about the booster seat but even more so about the fact that she'll be taking the bus home!!!
