Another milestone...

While we were at Abilene, Texas visiting friends during spring break, I was amazed at her 5 and 3 year old riding their bike with no training wheels.  How did they learn so quickly?  The answer... Strider balance bikes.  They had a couple and after two days of Lorelai practicing (about 2 hours total time on the bike)....ummmm she rides with no training wheels.  Amazing!!!

Bunny Run 3k

I signed the girls up for their first race....The Bunny Run 3K!  It's for ages 1-12.  They run (or ride in the stroller) the course along the lake.  At the end were a bunch of vendors giving out eggs for Easter...and then they ran back.  They made a big deal out of it with music, food vendors, prizes and more!!  The girls really enjoyed it.  Lorelai surprised me the most.  She ran almost the entire thing!  They did awesome...looking forward to the next family run!

We started the morning with an egg hunt outside.  75 eggs hidden...each accounted for!

Scarlet loves baby dolls and loves to play "Mommy".  She pretty much likes doing anything domestic... she loves her play vacuum, broom, etc and she likes to help me clean.  She is pretty much my mini-me because she copies everything I do.  Her favorite is her baby dolls.  She'll push them in a stroller, carry them in the baby seat, or feed them a bottle.  If anyone touches the baby, she gets upset!

This is her favorite baby.  I think she likes it because it's small and easy for her to carry around.  If you ask her, "Where's your baby?" she'll always grab this one.  The funny thing is...this is EVELYN'S baby!  She kinda stole it.

Yard day...

Spring is here!  The warm weather is coming in and our yard needs a little TLC.  We spent literally the entire day outside in the sun.... weeding, pruning, shaping bushes, mowing, etc.  Hours of work but we had a little help too....

The girls fight over who can help Daddy mow the lawn. 

Lorelai is helping us pull weeds and we found this little guy.  A red salamander.  Don't worry...he was re-homed.  She spent a lot of time with Daddy, deep in the woods, finding the perfect muddy spot!

I was so blessed my very dear friend offered to throw us a gender reveal party.  This is our last baby...our last hurrah and she wanted to make it special for us.  Boy or girl, we'd be ecstatic either way.  We have been blessed with healthy children and that's all we care about it.  It was also fun to include the girls in our reveal.

Our faces say it all!!  Joe really wanted another little girl.  Can you believe it??  He is just so used to girls...  I was more surprised than anything.  I really thought the baby was going to be a girl.  Time to go shopping for boy stuff!
