Singing and Dancing Duo!

The girls love to sing and dance.  Well, I'm going to be honest...they have no moves and they can't carry a tune!  Hahahaha.  Maybe some classes in the future would be a good idea?  Evelyn's idea of singing is screaming at the top of her lungs.  Lorelai makes up words as she goes along.  It really keeps them occupied and out of my hair though.  When I need to get something done I tell them it's time for a "dance party" and I play some music.  Keeps them busy so I can cook dinner, clean, etc.  Enjoy the musical duo....

What is it about a box?

What is it about a box that kids love?  Who knows!  But the girls played in this box all evening!

Outside time...

After naptime, we frequently go outside to play and wait for Daddy to get home from work.  It was a nice, warm day out.  I love this neighborhood.

Bubble FAIL!  Lorelai needs to learn that you can't blow bubbles INTO the wind.

...now she's got it.

Scarlet is happy too!

This isn't the best video but I'm glad I caught it on camera.  Both Lorelai and Evelyn are stubborn and don't always like me to teach them things.  Evelyn, especially, likes to figure things out for herself.  Because of this, she has JUST NOW taught herself to pedal.  She used to always just put her feet on the ground to make herself go.  I'm glad she's got the hang of it.

Evelyn loves to make Scarlet giggle.  She is definitely a little rough....but she can be so sweet too.

Who's that baby?

People have often commented to me that Scarlet looks like Evelyn.  Well, this is not so.  She looks much more like Lorelai!  To illustrate this, we are going to play a little game and it's called, "Who's that baby?"  These are pictures taken of Lorelai and Scarlet at 3 and 4 months of age.  Answer key is at the very bottom.  Now.....NAME THAT BABY!

Bubbles

Bubbles...what kid doesn't love bubbles?  Well, I recently bought a bubble machine for the girls and it was the best $12 I ever spent.  The girls go crazy for the bubbles.  They run around, popping them until the bubble machine is empty.  Lots of exercise and the girls sleep so great after all the running around.

Again with the posing.  Spring is here and the girls are joyful!

Spring selfies

More bubbles.  Lorelai got a bubble fan in her Easter basket.

Ok, Evelyn tired of the bubbles and is on to the sidewalk chalk.  Whenever she plays with chalk she ends up covered from head to toe.

My soccer girl...

Lorelai has started soccer and she loves it.  She's had two games so far.  She plays in a 4yr old and under league.  Lorelai is actually pretty good for her age.  She listens well to the coach and runs in the correct direction so that's good.  Of course I think she's great...but I'm also comparing her to her teammates... one girl won't even stand on the field unless her parents bribe her with candy... another cries ALL THE TIME....ABOUT EVERYTHING!  Seriously, if someone takes the ball from her, she cries and runs to her parents.  Toward the end of the second game I tried telling Lorelai to pass the ball to her a couple times but the girl just kept crying.  Lorelai scored several times in her last game.  She gets so excited!

Kentucky Science Center

I am not sure why we haven't yet been here before...but the Kentucky Science Center is an awesome place for the girls!  We bought an annual pass so we'll definitely be back.  There is so much for the girls to explore and learn.

I kept losing Evelyn in here....

Build your own roller coaster!  Daddy really liked this one...

She is such a ham and loves to pose...

Building towers

Lorelai loved this section.  Magnifying glasses and insects!  She wanted to look at everything

Evelyn using the magnifying glass is pretty funny... she holds it so close up to her face

Giant Lite Brite!

Fun at the water table.  I loved that they provided aprons so the girls didn't get soaked!

This play area just looked like a giant hamster cage...or maybe an ant farm?

Scarlet had fun too.  She loves to watch the girls play

I see you, Lorelai!

EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!!

March wrap-up...

Left over pictures from March...

The girls' new hobby is wearing Mommy's shoes.  They love to parade around in my high heels.

Lorelai is playing Pretty Pretty Princess

Ready for soccer practice.  She likes this shirt because she says it means, "you never stop trying".

Addie is photo-bombing

Building tall towers while Momma runs on the treadmill

Lazy afternoon naps...

The girls are helping me make banana bread.  Lorelai is holding the bowl while Evelyn mashes bananas!

Lorelai said to me, "Take a picture of me holding baby Scarlet!"

I love this picture.  Sweet face!

Vaccines are no fun...but after three shots today, Scarlet is still my sweet, smiling baby.
