Our Thanksgiving...

So much to be thankful for this year and Scarlet is just the cherry on top!  I love our growing family.  These little girls are the best a Mom could hope for.  I'm sleep deprived and pulled in all directions but I wouldn't have it any other way...

We are thankful that Grandma and Grandpa can be here for the Holiday.  Grandma has been a big help with this transition!

Such a happy girl!

Scarlet doesn't seem too amused...

Coming home...

Coming home from the hospital and settling in....

Scarlet is here!!!

Scarlet Elizabeth Dai was born November 18, 2015.  She weighed 7lb 9oz and was 19.5 inches long.  It was definitely my easiest delivery thus far.  A little bit of a dramatic car ride to Louisville but once we were there I actually got some pain medicine (unlike my last birth).  Rested for a couple hours and I told the nurses I needed to push.  The doctor got all ready and I said, "ready?" and he told me, "go for it".  One push and she was here.  Piece of cake!!!  She's a sweet baby....and very mellow.  We are all getting settled in just fine!

Just seconds old....welcome to the world!

Momma and Baby

She's a good little sleeper

If you compare her newborn pictures with Evelyn, they look very much alike

The girls came to visit the new addition.  Both girls were excited but Evelyn really wanted to get her hands on the baby.  Sister love from the start!

She literally tried to pry the baby out of my hands :)

I love Evelyn's smile.  Full of wonder!

Lorelai is a proud big sister again

I think these girls missed their Momma

Soccer

Maybe I need to get Lorelai signed up for soccer.  It's not my favorite sport but great exercise for little kids. This is her first time kicking around a soccer ball.  She's doing pretty well!

Quite the imagination...

I could listen to Lorelai and her imagination all day long.  She cracks me up!  In this video she's playing with some wooden, Halloween figurines that she colored.

Pumpkin Patches!

We visited a couple pumpkin patches before Halloween.  I love the feeling of autumn....the cool, crisp air is wonderful and a nice break from the heat of San Antonio.

The first pumpkin patch we went to is called Hinton's Farm.  The highlight here was all the food they make.  We loaded up on home-made preserves, jams, spreads, baking mixes, and pickles!  Delicious!

I see you, Evelyn!

The second pumpkin patch we visited with Lorelai's school on a field trip.  The girls had a great time.

Trick-or-Treat!

The girls had a blast trick-or-treating.  Not so easy to do in the country.  There's lots of space between houses and the girls get tuckered out...but they didn't really know the difference.  We brought the wagon just in case the girls got tired of all the walking...

Lorelai was a cowgirl (same as last year).  I couldn't convince her to be anything else.  I kept asking if she wanted to be something different because she was a cowgirl last year.  She kept saying she wanted to be a cowgirl so she "can wear my boots!"  She also enjoyed toting a gun around but was bummed that she didn't have any bullets.

Evelyn was actually very excited to be Minnie Mouse.  She would look at herself in the mirror and say "Minnie!"

Adorable!

Papa Joe and Maddie are here visiting.  They got to come trick-or-treating too.

When you trick-or-treat in the country, some of your neighbors have livestock.  The girls love to visit the cows and the donkey.  (I don't think they were giving out candy though)

The animals are very friendly and came right up to the fence as we walked by.  They seemed a little skittish at first (maybe it was Evelyn's red dress??)

Addie was dressed up too.  What better costume in Kentucky than a racehorse?

Our T-Rex jack-o-lantern.

Bruce from "Finding Nemo".  Can you tell that Lorelai picked out the designs to carve?

The video below shows the girls with the cows and donkey...

This next video is of the girls dancing at the neighborhood trunk-or-treat that was held at Lorelai's school a week before Halloween.  It seemed like the whole town was here!!  Lots of costumes, candy, and music....the girls had fun!
