Lorelai's First Day of School!

My little girl is no longer a baby.  She recently had her first day of school!  I was thinking of waiting another year to start her but she has been dying to go.  She has been asking for months when she is allowed to go to school.  We started her in a short two day a week program and she already loves it.  She is making friends, doing homework, and learning lots of things.  I'm so glad we started her.  It also gives me some alone time with Evelyn who has always had to share the attention.  Just a little Mommy and Me time before the new little one arrives...

She's excited to go...

She is showing off her Shark backpack.  Definitely not a girly-girl

Beach Day 2

Our last beach day.  I know the girls will miss it...  They had such a great time.

This beach bum is tired

Sleeping at the beach is the best!

Beautiful picture of Lorelai and her hermit crab

See that little speck?  That's Lorelai, floating way out in the water.  Don't worry!  She's not by herself.  Uncle Joe is just below the surface...

Again, I have to say...poor Uncle Joe.  He's being used for the girls' amusement.  Burying him in the sand is fun though.

Evelyn wants to give Uncle Joe a sip of water...but I think it's more like water-boarding

This is the best part of the beach...the naptime that comes afterwards...

Fishing...

Lorelai liked walking out on the pier to see all the fishermen catching their fish.  She really wanted to catch one and we were all determined to help her.  It was miserably hot but we succeeded!  After that fish...we were ready to go.  It was wonderful to see her excited face when she reeled that fish in...

Ol' Fisherman of the Sea

Uncle Joe is showing her the ropes

Being patient is hard...

Success!!

Pool Day 2

Another pool day...

My silly girl.  I have no idea why...but she kept putting the diving rings in her mouth and trying to see how many could fit.  She makes me laugh...

Lorelai with her new water shooter.  Guess who her target is...

Uncle Joe is too big for the Kiddie Pool

I love this sweet smile...

Beach Day 1

Pictures of one of the days we spent at the Navarre Beach...

My two little floaters

Evelyn loves her duck floatie

Staring and waiting for the hermit crab to come out!

A little snack in the shade

I love this picture!  Lorelai and Evelyn had so much fun with their Uncle Joe.

Poor Uncle Joe...the girls' new jungle gym

...but I think he enjoys it :)

Pool Day 1

The girls love the community pool in Florida.  These little waterbugs never want to leave the pool.

Lorelai jumps in the water all by herself.  No one needs to catch her

I love this picture.  Pure JOY in the water!

Getting ready to jump in

Evelyn doesn't really jump in....she more just belly-flops in but she loves it

No fear!
She loves to lean back and soak in the sun

The Mitten...

Lorelai is a little bookworm and has read her books so many times she has most of them memorized.  When she doesn't have them memorized, she makes up the words.  I think this video of her reading "The Mitten" is adorable.

Moving day pictures...

Moving has been hectic.  This was mostly due to the fact that Joe had go to Tampa for his board examination right in the middle leaving me to handle most of it myself.  Here are some pictures of our last days in San Antonio and our move...

Everything is packed and ready for the truck

Our last night in this house.  They will pack my bed first thing tomorrow.  No TV and very few toys, the girls are spending the evening in Momma's bed with their movies

The car is packed to go.  The girls, myself, the dog, and two cats are heading to Navarre, Florida for two weeks while Daddy gets settled in Kentucky.  I thought this was a better plan as our stuff will not arrive in Kentucky for a few weeks and I didn't want to be in a boring empty house with the kids.  And, I can take them swimming at the beach!

The car is packed up...no room for anything else

Moving is tough...

Passed out at the hotel with the babysitter while Momma and the movers get the truck loaded

Goodbye San Antonio!
