Preparing for Halloween...

Here are some pictures to get you all in the Halloween spirit!

Evelyn is excited about her new pumpkin for trick-or-treating

Lorelai got new Halloween pajamas.  She likes to try to scare me when she wears them.  She says she's being "SPOOOOOKY" as she waves her hands at me.

And then she laughs at herself because she thinks she's a riot...

On our family walks Lorelai has been so excited about seeing all the Halloween decorations around the neighborhood.  She calls this one the "Spooky Scary Pumpkin Scarecrow" and we have to visit him each and every day.  She gets too nervous to go see him by herself so she likes to go with Daddy.

Enjoying a Halloween donut while we grocery shop

Lorelai is so proud of her Ghost.  She made it at the gym's childwatch while I was working out.  She has played with it so much we've had to repair it a few times.  She likes to fly it around.

Corn Maze...

We recently visited a great corn maze right outside of San Antonio.  They have pumpkins, hayrides, barrel trains, giant slides, a GIANT corn maze, pig races, apple cannons....and more!  It was a long day but we had a great time.

Digging with Daddy in the giant sand box

Lorelai is hard at work...she loved digging

Getting ready to trick-or-treat in the corn maze

Barrel train ride on "Susie Q".  Evelyn missed out...tired baby

Riding the tractor

Evelyn enjoyed playing on the haystacks

...and making a mess.  I love this shirt.  It used to be Lorelai's.  On the front it says, "It's not easy being this..." and on the butt it says "BOO-tyful".

Reading corner...

I've mentioned before that Lorelai loves to read.  She reads all the time and it just warms my heart to have a kid that loves books so much.  I could listen to her read to herself all day long...

TOAD!

So sorry for the long break in between posts.  There's been a lot going on at the house...

Lorelai has become fascinated with the toad that lives in our backyard.  She likes to visit him everyday!

Halloween is coming....

We are preparing for Halloween and Lorelai is very excited this year!  She loves anything "SPOOOOOKY" as she says.  We've been reading Halloween books and talking about trick-or-treating and she can't wait to wear her costume.  It's going to be fun!

Still too young to carve pumpkins...Lorelai's having a great time painting them!

It's so difficult to get the two of them to cooperate for a picture at the same time

Can you see the butterfly tattoos that she added to her pumpkins?  Her idea...and they came out great!

Evelyn is figuring out that pumpkins aren't that great to put in your mouth...especially the ones with paint on them...

Grandma and Grandpa's House!

After Disney World we spent a few days at Grandpa and Grandma's house.  We did a lot of fun things!  It was so good to spend some family time.  The girls really enjoyed new toys at Grandma's house...some toys from when I was a little girl.

Took at trip to the Brevard Zoo...

The Zoo had a little wading pool for the girls to splash in

One of the best parts of Grandma's house??  Mr. Swan!!  There's a lake behind the house, and when you go into the backyard this swan comes right over for some bread... we fed him so many times...

Evelyn loved the swan too

Here are a few videos of the girls feeding the swan.  Lorelai named him "Mr. Swan".  Evelyn especially enjoyed it when the swan would nibble Daddy's toes!

Last day at Magic Kingdom...

Here are a couple of pictures from our last day...

More carousel rides...Drizella in the background

I love the Minnie ears on Evelyn...too cute

Lorelai liked King Triton...

A busy day.  Both girls passed out cold...

With the girls passed out, Daddy and Mommy were able to ride Space Mountain!

Here's a video of Lorelai playing at Casey Junior's Splash pad.  She got soaked but could not get enough!!

Meeting Elsa and Anna...

So after breakfast, we got to Magic Kingdom just moments before they were opening.  We weren't expecting to go see Elsa and Anna because they are the most popular characters this year and the line is always ridiculously long.  During the busy summer months, wait times got as high as 5 hours!  So ridiculous!  But because we got there so early, Joe and I decided that we would book it there with the jogging stroller and the girls first thing and just see what the wait would be.  We left Grandma and Grandpa in the dust (sorry about that...lol).  They met us there.  Anyways, we were excited to see that we had a 15 minute wait so we gave it a go!
I did get a little ticked off because the photographer for Elsa was so terrible.  I hate the pictures.  There's not one good picture.  I couldn't believe it.  Anna was a little better but I wish I had just taken the pictures myself instead of relying on them. I think it may have been bad because I felt a little rushed meeting them.  It's probably because their line is so long, they are encouraged to keep the line moving so people can meet the princesses.  I didn't have any problem with any other Disney photographer during our entire stay... Oh well... lesson learned.

This is the only one that came out a little okay.  Lorelai was acting a little shy this morning so we didn't get a picture with her.
