Happy Belated Birthday, Auntie!

Ok, this post is a little late.... Auntie's birthday was last week and we wanted to say Happy Birthday.  We made a little video of pictures with Auntie or pictures and videos from time spent with her.  Hope you all enjoy!  She is a great Auntie and the girls love her!

Bites, Boo Boos, and Owies!!

Ok... the girls are growing up and with that comes the occasional bump or bruise.  However, lately Lorelai seems to be a walking disaster!!

Lorelai woke up with a bad spider bite!!  OUCH!  her leg swelled up with this hard ball.  Her room was stripped, and cleaned from top to bottom...then pest control called to have the entire house sprayed.

This picture reminds me a little of my childhood.  This is a picture of just a simple mosquito bite Lorelai got playing outside.  However, it was so close to her eye, it completely swelled up.  Same thing happened to my sister when she was younger.

And this picture is a result of a nosebleed.  Lorelai was being wild before bedtime and jumping all around on her bed.  She ended up falling (face first) on the corner of her foot board.  Dr. Dai (or Dr. Dad?) to the rescue.  Nothing a little tissue paper up the nose can't fix

It's amazing how a little blow-up pool can generate such happiness in these girls.  They love the pool to cool off on these hot, Texas days.

Silly Girl....part 1

Evelyn is walking so much better and getting into things right and left!  She seems to be much more mischievous than Lorelai ever was.  Every time I turn around she seems to be getting into the cat food, or climbing up on the sofa, or the bookcase, or trying to empty the cabinets of all the pots and pans!  She also really loves to climb....over the dog, over the couch... I even caught her trying to climb our cat tower!  She keeps me busy!!

Evelyn officially took her first steps July 11, 2014.  She is walking better and better each day.  It doesn't help that most of our house has tile or hardwood floors.  I can tell that it makes her nervous to walk on it.  When she is on carpet she is much more confident.

The girls are winding down before bed.  Bath is done...pajamas are on... and they are sitting quietly together, enjoying their books.  Nothing could make me happier right now!  It completely warms my heart to see them enjoying each other in this way.  Future best friends!

Another kind of Princess...

Ok, it's not the best but I just had to post this picture.  Lorelai has been spending a lot of time in the house, walking around in her panties because we are completely engrossed in potty-training.  On the day this picture was taken, she decided to dress up in her princess clothes.  So here she is.... no pants, high heels, crown and all.  She looks like a different kind of Disney princess. 

What's scary is that she walks in her high heels pretty well, and when she stands she even cocks her hip to one side like she has some sass....ohhhhhh we are in trouble with this one...

Awwwwwwwwww!

Evelyn is such a sweetie.  She has just learned to give hugs and she loves to do it all the time.  You just say "Awwwwwww..." and she lays her head down to give hugs.  Sometimes she just hugs her toys as she's playing with them.  So cute...
