Say what???
Toddler talk is very funny to listen to. We spent the day with our friends Effie and Kyle and their little girl, Madelaine who is about Lorelai's age. They really enjoyed playing together. It's so funny to hear them talk to each other in their own little language.
Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch
This experience was amazing!! We took the girls and Uncle Joe to Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. You get to drive your car on this six mile trail through this 400 acre safari park. The animals come right up to the car and you can feed them.
This first video is of Lorelai driving. Don't worry, we were going less than 5 miles an hour on the trail....
This next video is of the crazy hungry ostrich. He was not shy and stuck his head right in our car
checking out the animals |
Some of the animals were shy....others definitely were not! |
Uncle Joe feeding the animals |
This was a hungry guy! |
The animals were really gentle and Lorelai was feeding them one pellet at a time |
They had beautiful giraffes on the property |
Evelyn was asleep when we first arrived but she woke up about half way through and really got excited to see the animals. |
This was the funniest zebra. He wouldn't take the food from you. He held his mouth open and we kind of tossed the pellets in. |
The ostrich really freaked me out. And the same goes for Daddy judging by his facial expression in this picture. The ostrich just looked like he wanted to peck your eyes out! |

Horseback riding...
My absolute favorite day! We took Lorelai on her very first horseback ride. It was an hour long ride... I was nervous about booking a two hour ride because I was afraid she might get antsy. She did so well! She sat with me in the saddle and grinned from ear to ear the entire time! The woman in charge of the trail ride said that she behaved so well, she probably could have done the 2hr ride. It's definitely something we'll have to do again.
Lorelai waiting for the horses to arrive |
Uncle Joe on his beautiful horse, Jade. All of the horses we rode were rescues. |
Daddy on his horse, Shorty. |
Mommy and Lorelai on our horse, Chili |
She's a real country girl now! |
Getting introduced to Rocket |
Riding around Canyon Lake was absolutely beautiful |

Mini golf...
We thought Lorelai would really enjoy her very first game of miniature golf...we were mistaken. I think the vacation caught up with her. She had just taken a three hour nap when we went but she was still tired. She was not interested at all and just wanted to sleep! We had a good time though. I guess I should post the scores, right? Pop-Pop: 53, Daddy: 60, Mommy: 52, and Uncle Joe: 52.
This was only the second hole. We turned around and she was asleep. She looks like she was shot with a sniper rifle. I guess we will have to try mini golf another time |
Texas Snake Farm
We are doing more and more sight seeing during our vacation and decided to take the girls to the Texas Snake Farm. Lately, Lorelai has been obsessed with alligators, sharks, snakes (basically anything with teeth). I really believe she is going to be a little Tom-Boy. She really enjoyed it! We explored all different kinds of snakes, alligators and crocodiles. The farm also had a petting zoo and some exotic animals as well. We had a lot of fun!
Checking out the turtles |
Looking at the gross creepy-crawlies. I'll keep my distance but Lorelai is not afraid at all |
Evelyn loved the big snake |
And the big yellow snake loved to watch Evelyn's little toes. Whenever she kicked her feet, he slithered closer |
A friendly camel out back came walking over to us to say hi |
In true Pop-Pop fashion, he had to feed water to the camel. Maybe this camel is a diva and wanted the nice bottled water over his troft |
Austin fun...
We spent the day in Austin today. It's a beautiful city with a lot of good food. Uncle Joe and I bought some really nice cowboy boots! He also got a hat and a belt...he'll be the best looking cowboy in New Hampshire :)
While in Austin we visited a park and the girls had a lot of fun swinging |
Going down the slide with Daddy |
I LOVE this picture. Lorelai has pure joy on her face |
Uncle Joe and Evelyn |
Yee-haw! |
might be a little big... |
Vacation has started!...Natural Bridge Caverns
Pop-Pop, Babci, and Uncle Joe are here to visit for a week. What fun! One of the days they were here we went to the Natural Bridge Caverns. Here are some pictures of the day...
The entire time in the cavern, Lorelai would tell everyone, "Oh no, don't fall down!" |
It's not easy to take pictures in the dark |
Pop Pop is enjoying his cool mist |
