A little fun before bed

The girls are bathed and in their pajamas and it's almost time for bed.  Still time to squeeze in a little fun before they're tucked in.

Boots and Guns

That's our girl.  Taking after her Daddy.  Both in boots and reading gun magazines.  I know that Daddy can't wait to take her shooting.

Pulling to stand...

My mobile baby is making leaps and bounds when it comes to accomplishing her milestones.  She is now pulling herself up to stand.  She was a little wobbly for a day or two but now she's got it down.  Her only problem is, she hasn't yet figured out how to purposely sit back down again.  She will pull herself up, play a little, then she starts to get tired, panics and fusses, and if she's not rescued she falls down.  Standing is all she wants to do now.  She'll figure it all out soon.  She is also already making stepping movements.  I feel like this munchkin is going to be walking before I know it (I am not ready!!).

She loves this activity table.  It does a million things and plays so much music.

Counting

Lorelai is learning so much.  She loves to sing songs, read books, and count.  She knows all her letters, colors, shapes, and all her numbers up to 20.  She sings her ABCs too!  She can actually count to twenty but in this video she counts to 12.  I'm bragging but I just think she's so cute and I'm so proud of her.

St. Patty's Day

Ok, this is a little late in posting but this is how we spent our St. Patty's day.  The entire family wore green.  Momma and the girls are Irish....just a wee bit.  The girls are about 6.25% Irish hahaha.  Not a lot, but we'll show our Irish pride just the same.

"Addie, you don't mind if I use you to practice standing, do you?"

"Drive on, Daddy!"

She was so proud of them

First carousel ride

The zoo installed a great new carousel, full of all kinds of animals.  This was Evelyn's first ride on a carousel.  She road a wolf and loved it!  She was so happy...giggling the whole time.  She especially loved to watch Lorelai going up and down on her cheetah.

Success with her bottle...

We've had a little difficulty with Evelyn and bottles.  She doesn't like them, doesn't want anything to do with them.  She's never liked pacifiers either.  This is only a problem when Momma has to go to work and Daddy is stuck with a frustrated baby at night.  She knows how to drink from the bottle, but she won't be happy about it.  Today I showed her how to hold the bottle herself and she started to play with it and drink out of it... "hey! this is kinda fun!"  Success!!!  Hopefully it sticks!

Sisterly love...

It warms my  heart to see them play together.  I love to watch them show affection for each other.

Going to work...

Lorelai loves to "go to work" on her tricycle.  She grabs her glasses, purse (which is filled with keys and cell phone etc) and she takes off on her tricycle.  It's pretty cute as she says good-bye and says that she's going to work...

Lorelai is sick and that makes her....

PRINCESS FOR THE DAY!!!  She has an ear infection and a fever so she's been getting a little spoiled.  She decided to dress up like a princess and walk around in her princess shoes.

Aboard her mighty steed

The shoes are silly but she loves walking in her high heels

I love to see her smile when she's not feeling well

What happens when Lorelai sleeps late?

When Lorelai sleeps late, what does that mean?  Free access to all her toys!  Evelyn had a ball this morning playing with all of Lorelai's stuff!  Lorelai is usually pretty good about sharing but she can be particular sometimes about which toys Evelyn touches (and subsequently puts in her mouth).

Evelyn really enjoyed Lorelai's bucket of toy animals

...and also taking apart all of Lorelai's puzzles

Cleaning

Lorelai is learning to clean and she really enjoys helping her Momma out.

Still in her pajamas...helping Momma vacuum

By the way, I always have to vacuum with Evelyn on my hip.  She is petrified of the vacuum cleaner and this is the only way she doesn't freak out!

Lorelai, did you miss a spot?
