We are planning a trip to Corpus Christi for a couple days to hang out with our good friends, Effie and Kyle and their little girl, Madelaine. It's a three hour drive and we needed something to entertain Lorelai on the road. We bought her some headphones and a portable DVD player so she can watch her videos. Here she is enjoying her new toy...
We went to Aquatica on Monday for some fun. I've said it before, but I think it warrants mentioning again just how much Lorelai loves the water. We started the day off at the Toddler pool. It's a very shallow pool, about 6inches to 1 foot deep. They have multiple slides and fountains for her to play with. I have pictures and videos of that below...
They also have some toddler slides. There's one slide that Lorelai is allowed to sit on Joe's lap. I've posted a video of that one before. But there is also four other toddler slides that the kids have to ride solo. We bought Lorelai her own life jacket that fits well and thought we'd give it a try. The force of the water made her fall back and slide on her back but she learned to turn over and slide on her belly. Then Daddy would catch her at the bottom but she'd always go underwater for a second at the end. It didn't bother her at all! She would RUN up the steps and scramble on the slide to go again and again. I will definitely make sure to take a video next time. I didn't have my camera with me and I had my hands full with Evelyn. It was hilarious to watch. Such a big girl and she has no fear!!

Lorelai has really accepted Evelyn as part of the family. She loves to help Momma as much as she can. She gets the baby's diapers and pacifiers and when she cries, Lorelai covers her up with a blanket. Such a sweet girl!
Joe is on his second week of paternity leave and we are definitely enjoying our time with Daddy. We've gotten so much quality time as a family and we are having tons of fun! Zoo time....

I cannot believe how similar Evelyn and Lorelai look in these pictures. If you're curious to see the comparison, look back at Lorelai's photo shoot that I posted in January 2012. There faces are almost the same. The only difference is that Evelyn's hair is darker and she has more of it. We are very happy with these pictures. They came out great! Two beautiful babies.... We are so blessed!
