"What'd you do?!"

Lorelai is learning more and more words and it's so excited to hear her talk.  She's even learning some short phrases.  She says, "I got it" and "there it is!"  But her most recent phrase is "What'd you do?"  She says it all the time!  If she drops something on the floor she says, "Uh oh....  What'd you do?"  over and over again.

Playing with Daddy's power tools

Lorelai loves to hang out with Daddy...  She loves it even more when Daddy shares his toys with her.  She was so interested with his drill.  I think we may have a little tom-boy on our hands...

Sister's playtime

Little by little, Lorelai is accepting Evelyn into the family.  She is wanting to play with her so badly and it is sometimes hard for her to understand that Evelyn is just a baby.  I laid Evelyn on the activity mat and Lorelai laid down next to her.  When Evelyn started to fuss, I picked up the baby and Lorelai got mad.  She tried to grab Evelyn out of my arms to put her back on the play mat!

Kisses for baby sister

Learning the computer

In this high-tech world, Lorelai is learning how to use the computer.  It was funny because she kept saying "wow!" whenever she pressed a button and the animals popped up on the screen.

Pool Time

I've said it before and I'll say it again....Lorelai is such a little water bug.  She LOVES water!  When Grandma came to visit, she bought Lorelai a backyard pool.  She sure is enjoying it!

She loves to dump the water out

Such a happy face
She is so happy to see Daddy come home from work.  Time to play!

Coming home...

We are settling into home and adjusting as a new family.  The first couple days were a little rough, especially for Lorelai.  She was not super happy about Evelyn coming home to stay.  The first two days were filled with tantrums but every day has gotten easier and she is now adjusting well.  Evelyn has been (knock on wood) a very easy baby so far.

Hanging out with Daddy

Are those the hands of a piano player?

The natives are welcoming the new arrival

Being a big sister is an important job!

I had to do a double-take.  She looks very much like Lorelai in this picture

Evelyn Marie is here!

Ok, it's been a long week and we are all settling in well.  Evelyn Marie is here! She arrived, (fast and furious) on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 11:10am.  She was a whopping 8lb 12oz (an entire pound larger than Lorelai) and 20 inches long.  Much bigger than the last baby.  Let's hope this isn't a trend!  Here are some pictures from the hospital...

Kisses for Evelyn

She wasn't very interested in Evelyn.  Lorelai was very clingy but I am sure she will love her sister soon!

Such a big help...

With renovations (finally) wrapping up, we were in the store getting some things for the house.  Lorelai was adamant about helping.  When she carries something she grunts and groans the whole time, acting like it's really heavy.  I'm not sure where she gets it from but it's hilarious.  Maybe it's because (since being pregnant) I am more vocal when I'm bending over and picking things up?  I have no idea.  It sure is funny though.

Achoooo!

Lorelai is turning into such a character.  She is learning new words, although many of her new words aren't much use to me knowing what she wants.  Her latest is the word "achoo!"  She fake sneezes all the time because she thinks it's funny and she likes to hear us say "God bless you!!"

Big Girl...

She is definitely not my little baby any more.  Lorelai looks like such a kid in this picture.  She's growing up so fast!!  Joe just kept saying how she doesn't look like a baby anymore.  Makes me a little sad....  Good thing a new baby is coming soon for me to cuddle.  If you try cuddle Lorelai, you usually get a foot in your face!

Enjoying the patio in her new chair.  She just loves to be outside
