Happy Easter!!

We kind of procrastinated in our visit to the Easter Bunny but we got there in time!  It was a long line and Lorelai started to get fussy (as it was nearing nap time).  However, she really did enjoy the bunny.  She was a little unsure what to think.  I think she was very close to crying but no tears were shed.  When it was time to go, she started pointing and reaching for the bunny....of course NOW you want to go see the bunny!  I think I got some good pics though...

We really do love the zoo!

As you all know, we love going to the zoo.  We haven't gone in a while and it was amazing to see how interactive Lorelai was this time.  She loved the animals and would point and talk to them.  She also really liked climbing on all the statues.

Doesn't want to sit still...she wants to go-go-go!

A day at the park

We just wanted to spend a little time outside today.  It was hot and sunny and Lorelai loves to be outdoors.  It really wears her out too, which makes naptime wonderful!  We took the dog and walked down to the park behind our house.  She loves to run around in the grass.  I'm going to have to invest in a few outside toys! For some reason she was very interested in picking up leaves and bringing them to me.

Lorelai's newest love....pull-toys!

Lorelai has learned to walk and pull her toys behind her and now she is rarely seen without one.  She has a couple pull-toys and they are her new favorite right now.  Her other favorites are her stuffed animals.  Sometimes she likes to carry two or three at a time.  She gives them hugs and kisses!

Birthday parties are fun!

This past weekend, Lorelai's best friend, Madelaine, turned ONE!  We drove down to Corpus Christi to celebrate with her.  There were lots of other babies, balloons, toys, and best of all... cake!  Here are some pictures of Lorelai playing at the party.  There's also a video at the bottom (it has an amusing ending)...

Madelaine's present from her mom and dad was this Little Tykes play gym.  Lorelai had a lot of fun with it.

She loved the slide!

"I see you, Mommy!"

"Look how high I am!"

Peek-a-boo!

yay! I did it!

Lorelai really enjoyed playing outside in the grass.  She found a soccer ball and Daddy was teaching Lorelai how to kick it.  Watch the video til the end because Joe just might win "parent of the year" for this one...

Chatting away!

Sometimes she is talking nonstop these days.  It's not always easy to comprehend...but a movement in the right direction...

Boxes are more fun than toys...

Maybe we should just give Lorelai boxes to play with...she seems to have more fun with them!  She was playing with this diaper box for about 30 minutes while Mommy cleaned.  Whatever keeps her occupied!

Helping Mommy...

Lorelai likes to help Mommy, no matter what the task.

When we walk the dog, Lorelai wants to hold the leash

The O'Reilly Factor

We often watch the O'Reilly Factor at night and just get angry at the direction the world is heading (does this mean we're getting old?).  Lorelai was having a little juice before bed but it was still a while before her actual bath time, story time, and bed time.  All of a sudden, Joe and I noticed how quiet it was and we looked down and she had totally passed out!  It was hilarious.  She had a very busy day today and I guess she was just saying she needed to go to bed a little early.  Or maybe Bill O'Reilly wasn't very stimulating today...

It's a.....IT'S A.......

GIRL!!!  Ok, I know most of you already know this, but we are having another daughter!  I am very excited about this.  I am so glad that the two girls will be nice and close in age (just like me and my sister).  Boys can come later.  Joe says we can keep having girls as long as he is allowed to keep building up his gun supply.  As soon as we have a name, we will let everyone know.  History shows that girls names are difficult for us but this time we plan on having a name before she is born.

She's going to be a big sister!
