Improvised wagon

Lorelai is definitely working on her climbing skills.  She climbed into her toy basket and thought it was the best thing.  So then I started dragging her around the livingroom in the basket.  This little girl needs a wagon!  I think I know what we're getting her for her birthday!!

The poor dog...

Addie puts up with so much abuse from the baby...but I think she secretly enjoys it.  She loves hanging out with the baby.  Addie is always watching over little Lorelai.

BFFs!

Lorelai and Addie really are best buddies.  Addie loves to be close to her and protect her.

Loves the highchair

Lorelai loves sitting in her highchair.  She is getting better and better at eating finger foods.

Every kid loves Cheerios!

She doesn't like it when I pureed her peas...but when I steam them, she loves them!   MMMmmm PEAS!

BLOCKS!

I saw Lorelai playing with these multi-colored blocks and it seemed like a good picture taking opportunity.  So, I kinda went crazy with the pictures.  She's very photogenic but has a hard time staying still for a picture.  I got a few good ones though...

Can this smile get any bigger???

"Ok Mom...enough with the camera!"

9 Months Old!!!

9 months today!  Can you believe it?  It is going by so so so fast.  She changes so much all the time and each month gets more and more fun.  I love how she's learning to talk and walk.  She loves to go exploring and the only thing she fears is the vacuum cleaner (we're working on that).  She continues to be a very happy baby and we love her every day.

she does not want to sit still for this picture.  This is the best one I could get because she was crawling as fast as she could anywhere just to get out of the picture.

Toys Toys Toys!

Sensory overload!  So much to play with!  Lorelai has learned to tip over her basket of toys that we keep in the livingroom and sometimes she has more fun doing that, than playing with the toys themselves.  I guess all kids love making messes.

Again, with the mirror.  She loves the baby on the other side.  I bought this to go on the headrest in the back seat so I can see her face when I turn around.  It plays music that I can control from the front seat with a remote.  She loves anything with a mirror and anything that plays music

Mirror mirror on the wall...

My baby is so vain.  She loves to look at herself in the mirror.  It is seriously one of her favorite things to do.  Maybe she's just intrigued by the baby on the other side?  Anyways, everytime we pass a mirror she smiles, giggles, and wants to check out the baby.  All I have to say is, "Lorelai, where's the baby?" and she starts looking around for the baby in the mirror.

Don't touch that!

These are pictures of Lorelai exploring the dog's crate.  She loves to touch anything that isn't hers.  She is especially fond of anything belonging to the dog or cat, and she really likes to play with electrical wires.  You can't take your eyes off this one!

This is her response to me saying, "Lorelai! Where do you think you're going? I don't think so!"

Eating like a big girl

Lorelai loves to sit at the table with us when we go out to eat.  She is such a big girl!  She loves tasting new foods, but her absolute favorite is drinking from a straw which you can see in the video below.

MMMMmmm!  So yummy!

A day of fun

First of all, I love these Osh Kosh overalls.  They are the cutest. She was such a happy baby today.

Lorelai loves to play with Addie.  Right now she is checking out her tail

She likes to sneak up on the dog

Ummm, Lorelai... That nasal aspirator goes in your nose....

She loves her walker.  It plays music when she moves it.

Giggles

It's late and almost time for bed.  Judging by all the giggles, I think Lorelai is getting ready to crash...

Jail time

Thank goodness for play yards.  If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't get anything done around the house.  The great thing about these play yards is that you can make them into a circle or stretch them out to section off a room, etc.  Lorelai, however, sometimes gets frustrated being in her little prison.  Now that she is so mobile, she gets annoyed when she can't go where she wants to go.

"Mommy, pick me up"

Awkward sleeper

Lorelai has to decided to wean herself off of her pacifier.  This was completely her decision and I had nothing to do with it.  Overnight, she basically decided she wants nothing to do with it.  Now, it's been almost 2 weeks of absolutely no pacifier.  Unfortunately, she doesn't go to sleep as easy anymore.  There's usually a good ten minutes of crying before she closes her eyes and gives in to it.  This has led to some awkward sleep poses.  I've captured a few.

Sleeping with her face smooshed against the bumper

It's absolutely useless to cover her up.  She never stays under the blankets
