Mini Photo Shoot...

Mommy was a little bored today so I whipped out the camera and started snapping away.  Lorelai is just so photogenic.  We still don't have our household goods, so there's only so much to do in an empty house.  Some of the pictures came out pretty good.  She was in a happy mood.

7 Months old!!

Lorelai needs to slow down.  This is going by way too fast!  This is the first month we are taking her picture with Addie without the Bumbo seat.  Baby girl is sitting up on her own very well.

The Big Bang Theory...

Ok, so a little back story.  Joe and I (surprise, surprise) still don't have our household goods yet from Germany.  This means that we still don't have TV, so all the television shows we watch are episodes I have downloaded on my computer.  Lately, we have watched a lot of "The Big Bang Theory."  Most of the time we watch it while eating dinner so Lorelai is in her jumparoo so we can eat.  Well, after several episodes, we started to realize that she LOVES the theme song to the show.  No matter what she is doing, when she hears it, she stops everything....gets a big smile...and starts kicking her legs and it looks like she's dancing.  We had to capture it on video, it was just too funny.  Does this mean she's going to be a physicist when she grows up?  Here are two videos of her jumping to the song...

Our Awesome Weekend: Day 2

On Sunday we took Lorelai to the community pool.  She LOVES the water.  She would love to swim all day.  Her favorite thing to do is splash.  She splashes so hard that the water hits her in the face over and over again and she surprises herself.  But she never cries.  She tuckered herself out in the water.  We are going to have to invest in some more bathing suits to get her through the summer.  Her biggest one that she just got JUST fits her perfectly now.  At the rate she is growing she will be too big for it soon.

When we got home from the pool, we finally got around to putting up Lorelai's swing in the backyard.  We tried it out and we couldn't believe how much she loved it.  She giggled and giggled the entire time, with a big smile on her face.  She was so cute.

Our Awesome Weekend: Day 1

Saturday we had a very nice family day.  The weather wasn't too hot so we decided to take Lorelai back to the zoo.  We bought annual passes because she seems to enjoy all of the animals.  Here are some pictures of our day.

Lorelai liked riding the tortoise

Mommy and Lorelai at the zoo!

Lorelai loves to be on Daddy's shoulders.  There's so much to see from way up high!

She really enjoyed watching the monkeys jump around

Lorelai loves to spend the whole day with her Daddy.  She really does adore him.

I think she thought the goats were doggies, like her Addie at home

Ended the day with a train ride around the park.  She loved the clickety-clack and the whistle of the train.  Soon she fell fast asleep.

What a busy day!  And what a tired sweet baby!

Gentle Giant

Addie truely is a gentle giant.  Although she can be clumsy, she is still so good with the baby.  We have video to prove it.  Lorelai loves to grab her ears, and lips, and face and Addie just sits there and takes the abuse!

POOR BABY!

Who ever thought that Mommy's hair could be so scary!  I was getting Lorelai up from her nap, very routine, nothing out of the ordinary.  When I was changing her diaper, her toe caught my eye because it looked a little red.  On closer inspection I saw that one of my hairs had wrapped itself around her toe like a tourniquet!  She started crying whenever it was touched.  It was cutting so deep that it was actually bleeding a little.  It took me some time, but I finally got it off with some tweezers.  It's the next day and even though her toe looks much better, there's still a deep mark.  It's so hard to inflict pain on your baby in order to help them.  She was crying and crying.  That was yesterday.  By the evening she was back to her normal self, jumping in the jumparoo.  I'm sure it was a more trying experience for Mommy than for baby.

Gotta give the public what they want...

And the public wants........ MORE LORELAI!  I apologize for not making more posts.  Things have been hectic with this international move but they don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.  Also, with this blog I had no idea who looks at my posts, how often, and when.  Well, just this week I've gotten a couple of comments about how I need to post more.  So, you gotta give the public what they want!  Here are some random pictures from the last week.

My baby is becoming mobile!  No crawling yet but she rolls and scoots all over the place.  She is never where I left her.  She likes to play on her belly with her toys.  In this picture she's holding a toy ball that looks like a penguin that giggles when she rolls it.

Lorelai is jumping in her jumparoo.  As she's jumping I noticed that the sunlight is reflecting off of it and making a dot of light bounce on the ground.  It's making the cat going beserk!

MMMMmmm!  Morning oatmeal.

Happy baby

She's starting to sit up on her own too

Green beans for lunch

Hanging with her buddy/protector.  Addie won't move a muscle when Lorelai is around.  It's like she knows that the baby is fragile.

Lorelai is playing with Addie's feet.

She thought Addie's feet were hilarious.  She kept touching them and then giggling.

Loving Dermatology

We are loving Dermatology.  Dermatology means that Daddy gets to stay home on the holidays instead of working late in the hospital.  It's a nice change from Orthopaedics.  Daddy had July 4th and 5th off and we had some good family time.  Lorelai is sure happy to get to spend all this time with him.

Happy Independence Day!

We took Lorelai to the fireworks this fourth of July.  It was a little past her bedtime but she didn't cry at all and she loved the bright colors.  We had a great time!

Lorelai looking all patriotic

Can't you see how much she loves her Daddy?

Lorelai loved to play with the flag
