Ok, so Lorelai needed a passport (among other documents) because she was born here in Germany. They make you fill out all this paperwork the week or two after they are born because sometimes it can take a while to come back and we knew we'd be leaving Germany in late spring. So basically I had to take a passport picture of my newborn baby when she was just two weeks old. This was difficult to do because they don't have an office that takes the picture... you have to use a little photo booth that is in the food court and you only get three tries! Lorelai was zonked out from the drive over and we couldn't wake her up at all. I had to hold her in the booth and it was impossible to get a good picture. We went to the passport office with what we had and they said that the picture might have to be redone but we'll see. Well, we finally got her passport in the mail... and it looks ridiculous! hahahahahaa. Poor kid.

Time to wake up
Lorelai wanted to get up at 6am in the morning but I convinced her to snuggle in bed with me for another two hours. Then she was ready to wake up and was in a very good mood. I love waking up to this little face.
Jumparoo!
Lorelai is getting much better at holding her head up so we brought out the Jumparoo for the very first time. Unfortunately she is still a little short to jump. We have the chair set at the lowest setting but she still can't reach the ground yet. I have a feeling that she is really going to like it once she figures out the jumping part. She still enjoyed sitting in it and listening to all the noise and seeing the bright colors.
She looks unsure of what to do. So many things to look at! |
Addie has to check out this new contraption. She has to make sure it's safe for the baby. She went around sniffing the whole thing. |
Lorelai is staring at the buttons because I was pressing them to make music. Lorelai loves music |
She looks to be studying the buttons. How do these things work??? |
Happy baby. Loves the Jumparoo! |

Practicing talking
Sometimes Lorelai can be so talkative. I love her little coos! I can't wait until she starts to actually form words. It really seems like she is trying to communicate!

Lorelai's first friend
We have eagerly been waiting for Miss Madelaine May's arrival, which finally came on March 14th. Madelaine and her mom and dad are all moving to San Antonio the same time we are so we are excited that the girls will grow to be the best of friends!
Best Friends Forever! |
Maddie is upset. Being a good friend, Lorelai provides a shoulder to cry on |
All tuckered out from their first play-date, Lorelai and Madelaine are fast asleep |

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Happy St. Patty's Day to everyone. Lorelai may not be very Irish but she likes to celebrate. We are all decked out in green today
Mommy and Lorelai all dressed in green |
Irish or not, how could you resist kissing this sweet face? |
Daddy's not Irish but he can celebrate too |
Happy baby.... 6.25% Irish |
Lorelai looks passed out from all the partying. Too much green beer?? or green milk? Yes, this is definitely a milk coma |
