Papa Joe and Maddie are here

Papa Joe and Maddie arrived on Tuesday morning.  They'll be here until next week.  Lorelai is enjoying her time with family!

The nursery is complete

Finally, I can officially say the nursery is complete.  I just finished Lorelai's letters and got them hung up.  They took forever to come in the mail.  Of course I could have had them done a long time ago if we had been able to decide on the name.  I'm so crafty!

1 MONTH OLD!

Lorelai is staying awake longer and longer each day.  She loves to lay on her belly and look around at the world.  She makes the silliest faces!  Here are some pictures of her interacting with Daddy.

Fun with Grandma!

The week went by so fast and we all had such a good time with Grandma here.  It was so nice to have some family around.  We can't wait to get back to the states in about 4 months.  We miss everyone!

Lorelai visits Heidelberg

We took Lorelai on an outing to Heidelberg to show Grandma the town and the castle.  Lorelai was bundled up in her snowsuit and we were ready to go.  We had a lot of fun seeing the sights and sampling the German cuisine.  (Lorelai passed on the schnitzel).  Here are some pictures of our day.

Sunday, January 15, 2012 Grandma arrived in Germany early in the morning.  Lorelai was so excited!  Grandma has been rocking to her heart's content which suits Lorelai just fine as she loves to cuddle.

Addie meets the new addition...

When we brought Lorelai home, of course she had to meet Addie.  Addie has been very gentle with the baby and doesn't even play with her toys too close to her.  Crying doesn't seem to bother the dog, but sometimes she gets concerned and has to sniff Lorelai just to make sure she's ok.  I think Addie is a little jealous but we are working hard to give her lots of love and attention.  I added the video below of their introduction.

Zero Months Old!

So, I bought these stickers to go on onesies that say how old your baby is.  I will be taking pictures every month to see how she grows and changes.

From the Labor Room...

Labor and Delivery was pretty intense.  Definitely different being on this side of things.  I think I prefer being the nurse over being the patient.  Here are a couple of the very first pictures of little Lorelai.  She was definitely cuter once she was all cleaned up.
